Scar Tissue around the Aorta

My thoracic ascending aortic anuerysm measures 4.0. I recently saw a thoracic surgeon per recommendation from my GP, who said it's a good idea to see one. The surgeon said he's not too worried about my aorta, because scar tissue protects it. I had open-heart surgery in 2015, and he said that surgery causes scar tissue around the aorta. Has anyone else heard this about scar tissue?

Never heard it. I had OHS in 2020 to replace my mitral valve and have an aneurysm at the root that has grown from 4.2 cm to 4.7 cm since then.

Can OHS cause an anuerysm? I never had one until after surgery--showed up in CT scan in 2017. OHS in 2015.
