Rifampin allergy

I am considering going back on Rifampin. I had stopped it over 2 years ago due to hives reaction. My ID doc suggested I could work with an Allegy doc to "de-sensitize" my body to Rifampin.
Anyone ever try that?

@ranxi Why are you considering going back on rifampin? Have you been on continuous antibiotics these past two years? If so, have your doctors conducted sensitivity testing to determine of your infection might be treated with another medication?
