Phlegm in my throat and post nasal drip after Covid

Ever since I had covid in January of 2022 I recovered from the virus but I was left with a constant phlegm in the back of my throat and post nasal drip that will not go away. The feeling of having mucus in the back of my throat actually gets worse when I try to get rid of it by coughing. I have been given steroid inhalers, albuterol, allergy medication, but none of these work. The mucus gets worse especially after I eat. I've never felt like this before and it all started after covid. Can anybody relate to what I am going through?

My husband and I both suffered from this symptom, he was blessed and had his last bout a week ago. As for me, now I have a secondary virus plus the phlegm. I give up on doctors. I eat an anti inflammatory diet, take fermented supplements when need, make my own quercetin, and am waiting for an order of mullein tea to arrive. So far............bupkis! Hang in everyone, we will make it through this. We now know what it is like to have a chronic illness.

Drew1987, How on earth do you make quercetin? As a grad student in organic chem we extracted it from Douglas-fir bark. Please let me in on how you are making it.

Has anyone tried fasting 24 hours or more or intermittent fasting as a way to reset the immune system? I am going to do intermittent fasting (12pm - 8pm) and see how this impacts my symptoms. Also, while it may be difficult to combine, intense exercise can depress your immune system. I'm wondering if the combination of "resetting" with intermittent fasting and natural depression of the immune system will stop the chronic over-activation of our immune system that is likely perpetuating these long covid symptoms. I just started and will let you know if I'm able to stick to it and symptom relief. Curious to hear if anyone has tried/is trying/or thinks this makes sense. My phlegm is also definitely much worse after eating (particularly in the morning) so hopefully this will address that.

Me too!!! I also started taking Solar Ray Mullein capsules and is has loosened the phlegm so far!

Aha! You are extracting quercetin, not making it. It was there all along. I misunderstood what you meant when you said you were "making quercetin".

Well, yes. Extracting, making, fermenting, concocting,....all I am doing is thinly slicing lemons, grapefruits and/or oranges, adding organic sugar, and waiting a week before using . The Solar Ray capsules seem to be working well so far. I get plenty naturally from our plant based diet but apparently not enough to combat the phlegm. Good Luck

I had a friend that had this paper wheel and I forgot about it. Found the pictures in my photos albums from years ago thought I’d share here. I hope you can see them. I had a really bad upper respiratory infection previously combined with allergies. I tried these supplements and it really worked.
