Delta 8 , a cbd product is supposed to help with pain and to relax. Maybe thats something?
I smoke everyday & marijuana has helped relax me & helped with my chronic pain. Good luck
I use med marijuana to sleep.
A very positive side affect——i was heading towards glaucoma but now my numbers are cut in half!
I also sleep like a baby!
I am reading a lot about CBD oil … what does it taste like? I can’t stand the smell of marijuana so if the CBD oil has the same taste/smell I know I will gag on it!
I use CBD oil or capsules of oil. The capsules you don’t taste at all. The oil I buy is chocolate mint flavored I put it under my tongue it’s not bad. Plain is harder, but you just have to try it.
I use 25 mg once or twice a day. It helps if I get headaches in the middle of the night which I often do and I have no meds left to take that day and have an empty stomach. Usually let’s me get back to sleep for a while.
I buy mine from Charlottes Web online. It’s cheaper (not really cheap, but relatively speaking) there than buying it at a health food store and it’s very pure good quality CBD. When you buy online they send you specials to get 20-30% off, so I buy a few then.
Good morning @joycemarie, Welcome to Connect. Thank you for posting your cannabis usage and the benefits. Voltaron is kind of scary to me. What CBD oil do you use as a topical? I use a P & B balm. 1:3 CBD/THC for acute pain and then 3:1 CBD/THC for chronic pain. The only RX medications I use are gabapentin and duloxetine. You mention a teeny spoonful at meal times. Is that CBD only? I used to put a dropper in my beverage. Now I just use it as a tincture. Stay with us, We need your feedback,
May you be free of suffering and the causes of suffering,
I tried the tincture CBD no THC provided by the doctor. It did help with my anxiety not so much with the pain
Thanks Chris! I just re-read all the posts. I will try the tinctures- they are really expensive! I do find that CBD alone is usless in my case. Giving up alcohol going on 5 months has helped a tiny bit but it is so maddenning to have this condition and deal with constant pain, numbness and the resulting insomnia. The MM does help some.
can you let me know what the strength is of your tinctures?
Doctors don't like it but a couple shots of Tequilla will help with the pain.
Good morning and thank you so much!! I am going to run to the dispensary this week and get some tinctures. Pretty expensive!
Ct is in the process of legalizing recreational use and allowing medical patients to grow which would be fun. I have tried making balms and lotion but don't really feel anything from the topicals. I have also made gummies as they don't sell them here. I will definately get some tinctures this week! I do smoke which I shouldn't! just before bed only and try to rely on Aleve during the day. I need more .
Yes- thank you so much for all you do to mentor this !!
Chris- you are an interior designer? I run a drapery workroom!
Hi Luann262…..Oh my, I need a workroom for bedspread…..pillow covers , etc. I don't really do much anymore. It is just that folks remember what I used to do. I had a contemporary art gallery and joined one of my customers as a designer because of my contemporary choices. It was hard work, required lots of patience and absolute tolerance for folks who loved to change their horse in mid stream.
Yes! I spent 4 hours this week with a lady trying to pick a color for cellular blinds! Patience! Lol
Oh my! I could not do that. I am more of the "Here's what I want, show me a dozen samples and I'll choose one." Our last carpet salesman couldn't believe what an easy sale it was – he fully expected to have to go back to the showroom for more samples at least twice. Of course, he actually listened to our initial request and brought exactly what we requested…
That kind of indecision is why I quit doing custom costumes.
@sueinmn, @luann262, @artscaping, and all…Sue, do you still have carpet? I took all my carpet out of the house after my sweet poodle had some illness before she died and ruined the carpet. Since I live in Flordai, I lean toward a cool any/everything, so have tile in my kitchen, hallway, den and wooden floors in Living/Dining room and throughout upstairs. Yes, even in bedrooms. I breath so much easier, with less dirt and dust and kitty hair/dander, but I will say now, since my housekeeper had to stop cleaning due to her health. I miss her and can't seem to find another yet. So, even wooden flooring needs dusting and cleaning. It's so much easier for me. I can't use a vaccum cleaner, but swifters are great!
We find out interesting things about our Connect friends, as time goes on and we share more. I can see how Chris, @artscaping, was drawn into design as she's an artist. You, too, are very artistic and crafty, so kind of makes sence. My issues is I've made all the decisions and even bought the fixtures and appliances and have the drapes and furntishings, I can't stay healthy long enough to get it finished or find someone who can really help do the job working within hospital stays, home or rehab, etc.
I almost feel well enough. I've had 2 sessions with my antique dealer friend to clear out my furniture storage unit. I think all the folks heading toward or in the downsizing/moving stages, will identify with this. I'm truly, for real, disposing of most of my belongings. Only keeping what really fits well, coordinates well with other furniture, fills the current need. Everything else is being sold.
BTW: I find CBD helps me relax, relieves some anxiety and such. It also helps with some pain. I suppose, logically, it's the pain caused by anxiety? But, for real pain control, I've had the best results with combination CBD/THC tincture, always at night and often a tad during the day if I need it. Does the job. And, I think they do better together, don't they, for pain control?
Blessings to all. May your pain be lessened and your heart uplifted. elizabeth
Yes, we have carpet on the stairs only, and a bit in my sewing room & one bedroom – both scheduled for replacement with hard flooring in the spring. Everything else solid oak, bamboo, or ceramic tile. We also find the hard surfaces easier to maintain and a lot more clean, I'm just slow to make changes…and then…Covid.
We too have been clearing out, as are many of our friends. I find it surprisingly easy to accomplish, as I have cleared out too many relatives' homes. I love it when cupboards and closets are empty enough to keep organized, and I find I don't miss the belongings. But leave my sewing, art & craft supplies alone please.
My husband finds CBD helpful for his pain, I am waiting for an OK from cardio to try it.
Off to my projects!
Thanks! I’ve started to try vaping 5cbd: 1 thc. During the day and it’s helping. Then I have been using a little 3:1 evening, bedtime I go stronger. Sometimes the pain is just untouchable. I am going to a new doctor tomorrow to discuss medication. I want to go over my prescriptions and the medical cannabis , supplements and make sure I’m on the right track
This is an old post; but I cannot help advising you to also ask for images of worst joints to see if PT would be appropriate. A daily walk or swim for generalized pain and then PT-type stretches for others. Dr Jo on youtube is not personalized, but the stretches are similar. Meds just can't do the whole job. Also adapt diet to non-processed, low sugar, avoid nightshades.
THC is the pain killer. You should get a 50/50 tincture.
