Lung nodule 9 cm marked as suspicious on report

Just had a pet ct scan skull to upper thigh
Results are not clear
Test results stated suspicious follow up ct scan recommended
Does this indicate cancer?

@sullivan728, I'm so glad you are feeling better. The nerve pain that you described sounds rough! Have the chest pains continued? Don't be afraid to reach out to your doctor's team if you have anything unexpected. Chest pain can't be taken lightly. Sending gentle hugs.

@peeps69, Some people have continuing issues after surgery, but not everyone. Be sure to voice your concerns to your surgical team and ask about how pain would be managed. Remember that Mayo Connect includes people with many different experiences, and we are most likely to hear from those that are seeking answers to current struggles. Each patient and each surgery is different.

@lls8000 Tuesday the 22nd is my appointment for results. I received the procedure notes today and he took 17 samples!

@lls8000 yes chest pains have continued though not as frequently, doctor states it normal but feels totally abnormal

@peeps69, Wow, 17! That's good though. They'll get a good look at the various cells in those areas. Hoping for good news for you.

Hi @sullivan728,
I had chest pain too in the beginning of recovery, as Lisa said chest pain can’t be taken lightly so I reached out to my doctor and he said the same as yours, that it was all normal and a part of recovery from the trauma of the lobectomy. Yes, feels abnormal just like you said… Mine as well began to occur less frequently… then one day I realized hey haven’t had that chest pain in a while ! And that was it 😊 none since.

@peeps69 a 3. 5 inch is considered a mass not a nodule I read. Good luck to you either way. I had a ground glass also and recently had upper right lobe robotic lobectomy.
