He gets angry easily so I have to wait for him to bring it up. Thanks though.

It may seem rudimentary, but self care is critical to any difficult personal situation. It took me years to fully understand and accept that self care is not selfish. As a caregiver for now 14 years--my parents, my grandbabies, my wife--I have found that I am an infinitely better caregiver when I engage in essential self care. For me, that includes the anchors of good quality sleep (and I'm learning the art of the nap in my elderhood), exercise, nutrition and stress management. It also included a few months of therapy during the pandemic.

Recently had 3rd stroke, diagnosed with white matter disease and small vessel disease. Colleagues and employer have sorta pulled away. Still working online.. worst part for me is disconnected medical care. Trying to figure this all out. Balance has been my major disability from this , blessed..just look like a wobble doll when I walk sometimes, and new super mild tremor in left hand, and left side of stomach area. Super odd. What symptoms have you had from the disease.

Have fatigue too but think its the blood thinner. I had my first stroke at 18 but they diagnosed it as vascular spasm, i know think it was a stroke..typical fast symptoms. Then had mri when 40 which is 25 years ago 🌷😳diagnosed with white matter.. 2022 diagnosed with small vessel desease but no one explained what that meant.

Had this myself ..friends family fall by the wayside Don't know how to deal with it they don't Which leaves you without support ..when really needed & to be honest It also shows their true colours ...true friends wouldn't dump you because you are not good ...some family members Yes you expect them to disappear for fear of having to take some responsibility from time to time ... all the best, try & find others in your local area Support understanding goes along way when others are in same position
