I'm in my 70's and experiencing brain fog for the last year
I have what I would describe as brain fog daily, low libido and trouble with memory. I've had full blood panel and everything is fine. I do take medication for low thyroid but that also tested fine. Could it be hormones? I am too old to use HRT now, according to the doctors I have seen. When I was a little younger, I did take that and felt so much better. Are there any supplements that would help?

When you had your latest blood test did they check your hormone levels?

2 ReactionsHave you had any implants? My wife experienced this after toxic levels of Cobalt / Chroumin levels! Might request having this checked if you have had any implants!
Clain,
I'm so sorry that you are dealing with brain fog! My husband had lung cancer and was given the wrong medicine in a CT scan which caused him to have brain fog. I did some research and discovered that Gatorade helped brain fog. My husband started drinking Gatorade daily and his brain fog went away! I also recommended Gatorade to another person on Mayo Connect. That person tried it and said it took his brain fog away too. I hope it can help you also.
I wish you the best.

May I ask your age? Through menopause? Any osteoporosis?

Have hormone levels checked. I started estrogen later in life, but in my 70’s would not be with out it.

2 ReactionsNo. My levels have not been checked in a long time.
@gravity3 In my 70's. I had a bone density chcck last year. Got a very good report.
I am going to ask my doctor for blood test to check hormone levels and start with that. Brain fog and very tired are a daily thing for me. Even when my sleep is perfect.
