I need some help with my sister.
I'm 14, and my sister is 12; she has JIA and might need a bone marrow transplant. I might be her only match. She has been going through this for 2 years, and she can't do all the things she used to be able to do, and it breaks my heart to see her cry. We are going to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in 4 weeks to see what she needs. I just want to know if anyone can give my family and me some suggestions on how to help my sister.

Hello @quinnfinley, I know it must be difficult for both you and your younger sister who has juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) and your parents not knowing much about the condition or what treatments she will need. The Arthritis Foundation has some informational videos that might answer some of your questions here:
-- JA Explained - This series aims to provide parents and caregivers with expert tips and recommendations on topics around juvenile arthritis.

4 Reactions@johnbishop, thank you so much for the link. My sister's main symptom is hip pain, along with fluid and swelling in her joints. She plays softball as a pitcher; she used to be the first batter in the lineup. Her pitching speed went down a lot, but she's working her way back up.
Thanks, ♥
Quinn
