I have just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer (1 1/2 inch mass in tail) which has mets to liver (multiple adenocarcenoma masses about the same size) was told today that surgical interventional not possible at this point. Next week I will probably start chemo with Folfirinox which is powerful combo medication. Any other people out there facing similar circumstances? Any one willing to share your experience with me? FYI I AM 54 male in excellent physical condition-health.

Unfortunately, that is a decision you have to make; I made mine not on the 5 years that would lie ahead--but on ways to rid myself of the cancer with as few side affects to my daily life as is possible. On the other hand, my having dealt with 4 stages of epilepsy added a different dimension as to what I might face. Aside from that, my participation in understanding of Disabilities itself--while a 3 1/2 year member of the Employer Committee of The President's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities; my own State Disability Council and City Disability Councils gave me a completely different perspective about disability. Not to forget, our first two children were twins. One partially retarded and the other Mongoloid with a hole in his heart. Do some serious research on all phases of disability problems and couple that with changes your body may make due to age, etc.. It's not easy.
