How about a laugh, (hopefully)

Posted by Leonard @jakedduck1, Dec 31, 2018

I believe laughter is the best medicine. Laughter has actually been scientifically proven to help people with depression issues.
Let’s give it a try so we can all get happy and feel better. Many Epilepsy forums I’ve been on had joke sections. I was probably the biggest joke of all since I didn’t get a lot of the jokes. They said the jokes couldn’t be above 4th grade level for me to understand them so my jokes may be rather simplistic but let’s give it a try.
Have a lovely day everyone,
Jake

I grew up liking spinach because of Popeye and then learned how great fresh spinach was. No more cans!

I thought I was wrong, once. But, it turns out I've been wrong many times.

I switched to fresh after my arthritis made it too painful to continue opening the cans like Popeye does.

You can sauté the spinach in OLIVE OIL and add a little fresh garlic.

I ate some cooked spinach once and it was like a cow chewing its cud. It was like chewing on a lot of grass that got bigger and hard to swallow.
Does sauteing make it go down any easier? I love raw spinach.
Thanks,
Jake

The way I cook fresh spinach is to get a bowl , add a little water, cover and microwave a very brief time….seconds…until wilted. Drain and squeeze out as much moisture as you can. Chop and sauté in olive oil, add some minced garlic. Can add garlic powder instead or nutritional yeast. You might find baby spinach easier…that’s the kind you eat raw as a spinach salad. You can make a big bunch that shrinks down. Couple of more steps but tasty.

I do that to Curley kale also.

Enjoy

The quality of these last few spinach jokes is questionable.

Did you hear about the spinach thief?

He was collard and sentenced to serious kale time.

Greenwich Mean Time is the yearly average of the time each day when the sun crosses the Prime Meridian at the Royal Observatory Greenwich, London U.K.

Spinach Mean Time is how long it takes for Bluto to get Popeye mad enough to pop a can on him.

I didn’t realize my spinach cooking advice was in the How About A Laugh thread. It should have been in the cooking thread. I guess I was squinty eyed. I owe you an apology.
