Hi there! I am just getting started on my bariatric journey and am excited to learn more!

Hi, I have been waiting to hear about the group meetings I believe are on Wednesdays? I don't know if I am to hear from someone or do I call to set up a time for me to go? I live in Barron and I really can't afford to go to Eau Claire every week. I am sort of getting discouraged about having the surgery since I don't know when this all takes place. I have seen a Nutritionist and Doctor for my beginning exercises.

@joysmiley64, CHANGE classes are scheduled weekly on Tuesdays at 12 noon, 4 pm or Wednesdays at 4 pm CT for eight weeks as you prepare for surgery. If you haven't heard the coordinator or instructor, please contact the Bariatric Surgery Team where you are registered in the Mayo Clinic Health System.

Let them know about your barriers to attending the class. There may be alternative options, like attending virtually or carpooling.

Colleen, I spoke with Wendy Payson today, Monday 25th, and I have an appointment set up with Jackie and then I will know when to start with the classes. Thank you for the information about the weekly classes.

Thank you for suggesting how to freeze portions. Always did it by the pound. I love making soups with the packaged salads and add veggies and seasonings. I don't mind eating it for 2 or 3 days. Thank you for your advice.

New to me> "making soups with the packaged salads and add veggies and seasonings". I have not heard of this and would love some more info. One recipe please.
