GLP-1 agonists (Ozempic, etc.) to treat long-COVID?

Anyone know if health insurances will cover GLP-1 agonists to alleviate long-COVID? If not, anyone know the cost out of pocket for those meds?

Are there any preliminary results on the Scripps trial?

@lpow276 - As mentioned, there are anecdotal results reported by individual participants. The study goes through next March or April, I think.

@lpow276 Yes, a percentage of the people in the study with me are having good results and are concerned about losing the drug after the study. A percentage dropped out due to side effects (including weight loss) and some percentage dropped out to get the real GLP-1 as they felt they were on the placebo. I had initially had terrible insomnia all night on shot day but no other side effects so I am either on the placebo or am a GLP-1 non-responder. A good share of the 1000 participants are communicating on Facebook...but it is impossible to determine how many of us did well...just know a good number of people did well...probably at least 20%. Some did well on low doses but did not seem to do well on the higher doses. Some dropped out as they could not handle any more weight loss.

@vostie what sorts of positive results have participants noticed? I read, for example, that some who micro-dosed tirzepatide lost or reduced their food sensitivities.
