Find Moments of Humor

I'm 80 years old and have been married for 57years; my husband with ALZ is 81. We were heading to bed and he asked, "Are you going to sleep with me?" I replied, "Of course." He said, "What would your mother say?" Ha. One of the reasons I was attracted to him was that he had a great sense of humor and always made me laugh. It wasn't intentional last night, but it still lifted my spirits.

Hi. What a great comment. I have had some laughable moments also. We are both 80 and married 59 years. We have had separate bedrooms for several years since my wife started her dementia journey. She likes her privacy which I respect, but we do share a bathroom. My wife is convinced their are other women in the house - confirmed by "the woman in the mirror which she thinks is a window". I came out of the shower the other night and she walked in the bathroom, saw me and said "you are naked all the other women will see you!!! " I had to smile, quietly laugh and go to my own room happy - a great way to end a tiring day.
Keep the happy times and thoughts coming!!!!
