Mom is eating less and less these days... The other day, I was at her memory care during her lunch and one of the sides was cooked purple cabbage. She said, "Look, there's something purple! I've never eaten purple before." She took a bite and although she never liked it before, she enjoyed it. Also, she now has about a 15-second memory.

A few seconds go by and she said, "Look, something purple! I've never eaten purple before." She took another bite. This happened at least 5 times in the next 5 minutes and it's the most I've seen her eat in weeks. It was great to see her smile and discover eating purple (and eating).
