Are you having any stomach issues?

@laceys63

whenever i talk to people i see them scratching their nose or rubbing it, i know i have bad breath but this happens whenever i just finished brushing, and gargling my teeth, and scrubbed my tongue, but i feel that the smell doesn’t come from inside my mouth but from a deeper or from my stomach. Also, whenever i’m inside a car and i yawn or if i talk that people think that there’s feces inside the vehicle. pls pls help! it is embarrasing. thank you

Is there any current discussion on this

Yes gurling sounds and pain

My dentist said that bad breath is caused by food stuck between the teeth – as it putrefies and grows bacteria, it smells awful. I brush and floss every night before I go to bed and I never have bad breath or "morning breath". BTW, I also don't get cavities since I started brushing and flossing every night. Peggy

I was just wondering about SIBO since I noticed when I get it (I have gastroparesis) and I have what I call the fart burps normally that’s when I have SIBO along with stomach pains and other issues.

HI @docjay1961 that must be so frustrating to have this poor breath. You may have noticed I moved your post to this discussion you started so that all your post will be in one place.

I'd like to tag fellow Connect member @bbjaide to see if they come back to join in on the discussion.

Back to you @docjay1961 have you gotten any suggestions from you doctor or dentist?

I usually get ahold of my primary doctor and he prescribes me a antibiotic for the SIBO and that usually takes care of it till the next time I get it.
I know they have tests for SIBO but since I am on nexium and Zantac I am more prone to getting it.
My husband has asked me if I’ve farted and I’m like no I just burped. Which gave me a chuckle even though it’s not funny, gotta see humor where I can.
Usually like I think I said I usually get lots of stomach pain and gas and bloating when I have the SIBO.
I too brush my teeth regularly and visit dentist for my checkup and all that.

Thank you so much for this reply I don't think I've been tested for sibo but I'm going to call my doctor tomorrow and set it up

Oh good. A place to start anyway right?
Sorry I didn’t see you replied to me. My messages keep going to spam when I get them from mayo.

Hi @martft4, thanks for alerting us to the issue with not receiving Connect email notifications. Several members have reported this issue lately. Email programs are cracking down and tightening their spam filters. To prevent Connect-related emails from going to your junk mail or spam, add Connect's sender address "@n1.hubapplication.com" to your safe sender list. Here are instructions on how to do this for various email types:
– AOL http://www.subscribermail.com/safe-list/address-book-aol-mail.html
– Gmail, Outlook (hotmail) and Yahoo http://onlinegroups.net/blog/2014/02/25/how-to-whitelist-an-email-address/
Additionally, when you find a Connect email in your spam folder, move it back to the inbox and mark "Not Spam". Eventually your email will get it.

Here is a link to a blogpost that explains how to do this: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/page/about-connect/newsfeed-post/what-to-do-if-you-arent-getting-connect-email-notifications-anymore/

I am having the same problem with some of my connect messages and they end up in my junk mail. I can’t seem to find a way to move them to my inbox. I will try your suggestion. Thx.
