Evaporative humidifiers

Posted by coffcoff @coffcoff, May 14 3:36pm

Hello all! I recently read on the NTMir website that Dr Falkinham recommends using an evaporative humidifier only, as tests have shown that the wicking filters effectively filter out NTM. I'm wondering if any of you have used this type of humidifier. I've read reviews online but I'd rather hear it from my peers who have the same concerns. I'm looking for one that ideally has a washable filter so I won't have to endlessly fork over money to replace it. I live in the desert so the air is dry and dusty year-round. Please help if you can! Thanks!

A humidifier with a filter?
A cool air humidifier?
I thought I read on here no humidifiers because of mist.
I gave my humidifier to Goodwill.

I use my vaporizer with boiled distilled water and dr Fuentes at NJH was fine with it. I also remember that dr Falkinham approved this method as well. Yes you have to buy distilled water and boil but there is no NTM and no residue on the heating element- so easy to clean and dry

@sheila7a Supposedly the evaporative humidifiers don't create mist, which is why we can use them. But I hesitate to buy one until I hear from someone who's actually used one. I've also heard that because they filter out the NTM you can use regular tap water, which would be wonderful.
