E coli bacteria Urinary tract infection

Posted by @smith818, Sat, Aug 18 8:45pm

For six plus months I have been battling ecoli bacteria urinary tract infection. This past Thursday I started for thirty days a daily IV infusion of the antibiotic Invanz (one gram). I had been on Invanz in June for fourteen days which only suppressed the ecoli for twenty three days. My concern is – what are all the antibiotics that I have been taking over the six plus months doing to the rest of body. Does Invanz lower the heart rate? I would appreciate hearing from someone that has been in a similar situation.

Smith818, I can understand your concern with prolonged use of antibiotics. Did you share your concern with the prescribing doctor? Are you also taking probiotics? If yes, which kind?
