E coli bacteria Urinary tract infection

Posted by smith818 @smith818, Aug 18, 2018

For six plus months I have been battling ecoli bacteria urinary tract infection. This past Thursday I started for thirty days a daily IV infusion of the antibiotic Invanz (one gram). I had been on Invanz in June for fourteen days which only suppressed the ecoli for twenty three days. My concern is - what are all the antibiotics that I have been taking over the six plus months doing to the rest of body. Does Invanz lower the heart rate? I would appreciate hearing from someone that has been in a similar situation.

Smith818, I can understand your concern with prolonged use of antibiotics. Did you share your concern with the prescribing doctor? Are you also taking probiotics? If yes, which kind?

Yes, I'm taking "Probiotic 10". 10 Probiotic Strains and 20 billion live probiotic cultures. I take two capsules daily.
