Does the anxiety or fear of this prognosis ever get better?
Maybe it’s just me, but since my diagnosis a few weeks ago my anxiety is through the roof. I made appointments with 2 different Endocrinologist and I have my first appointment tomorrow, hoping it will help put me at ease. As soon as I wake up in the morning it’s the first thing I think of or even in the night if I wake up to roll over. The information is so overwhelming do this not that, then you’ll read something saying the total opposite. The statistic of 1 out of 2 women will get a fracture is mind numbing. I feel like I’m doomed no matter what I do. Every time I get a twinge in my back I now think, here we go. I’m 60 and have no other health problems and take no medications, yet. I exercise every day now and listen to books on tape to get mind focused on something else. I’m not afraid to do the work, just afraid of the future outcomes, which I know I can’t control, but anxiety and fear have their own ideas.

2 Reactions@daisy17 Another supplement that has shown benefits is collagen supplements with Fortibone. The cheapest brand I found on Amazon was AlgaeCal brand. It's cheaper if you buy two at a time on their auto-ship program.

1 ReactionI feel you, it was and still is my battle even though I have gone ahead with TYMLOS, I too consider myself healthy and physically fit at 67 but then I see some women with serious complications with their backs and it makes me see where I could end up if I don’t do something about it, almost 4 months on TYMLOS and I am still afraid and stressed about it. I hope it gets better for you, look at your options and give it try, perhaps we should use this chat group more often to find community and share our fears about osteoporosis

1 Reaction@daisy17 I didn’t know this. It’s quite interesting. Is it for osteoporosis, osteopenia, or as a preventive medication?
Do you take on your own, or administered by a physician?
@daisy17 same and showed great improvement
.
bone markers are essential to timing and decision making.
Some doctors need to be “ nudged” even endocrinologists!!

1 Reaction@beachesanddreams I love it that @daisly17 has started a separate thread on Vitamin K esp Vitamin K2. She has some great links that address some of your questions in her posts there. Here is a link:

3 Reactions@beachesanddreams I think it would be beneficial for osteopenia and osteoporosis. I buy my supplements on Amazon. Here is what I'm taking, with no side effects noticed:
180mcg Menaquinone-7 (MK7) - TrueVantage brand and
45,000 mcg (45 mg) of vitamin K2 (menaquinone-4) - Life Extension K2 High Potency brand

1 Reaction@daisy17 I’ve made a copy, thank you. If you don’t mind my asking, how is your bloodwork? It’s great you are tolerating with no side effects - that’s very promising - but are your basic levels still good?
@kfhoz Ooh, thanks for this! Hopping on now!
