Does anyone have any information about Yale New Haven Hospital in CT.
I am interested in anyone that might know how I would go about finding a Doctor/surgeon at Yale New Haven Hospital inNew Haven,CT. I have only been told by my Physican in Florida that my aortic aneurysm is 4.0 and have another CT scan next year. I will be meeting with my Primary Internest when I get back in June to CT. I would like to have some kind of a plan when I see him in June. He only has the CT scan report but has not discussed who or where he would refer me. Thanks I would appreciate any feedback. The entire subject is frightening.

Hello.....depending on your overall physical condition, a 4cm aneurysm is manageable, and not close to the stage of surgical intervention. Many who post here have been able to successfully manage their condition and lead a good life. Try to look beyond your diagnosis, and free yourself with knowledge of managing this condition, and the comments of others in the same circumstance. Best wishes !!

I do not have any info on providers in CT, but I am in a similar situation. During a CT scan in Jan 2026, they found a dilated aortic root, 4.9 mm. I was very nervous seeing no indication at my last echo in 2018. My primary referred me to a vascular specialist who is monitoring right now. He plans to do an echo 6 months after CT (around July). At that time, he will determine whether to continue monitoring or refer me to a cardiac surgeon. If it has increased in size, then he wants me to talk to a cardiac surgeon about whether to continue to monitor or if I will need surgery in the future, and what the options are.
Since that appointment, I have met with the primary care provider and had my blood pressure rechecked. Vascular recommends a different BP med. So at this point, it is all about keeping BP under control.
I see you have posted other discussions on subjects that I may have responded to.
You might check out this podcast from the Cleveland Clinic. I found it very informative, and after watching, I had a list of questions for my vascular specialist.

Questions I suggest for your primary:
- What type of specialist should I see, my primary selected vasular because I also had another vasular issue?
- Any additional testing needed, maybe an echo or blood tests?
- Anyway if knowing what casued the increase in size?
- How to prevent from increasing in size?
Mayo has developed a HealthLocator website to help find specilist in various locations. May check see if specilist in your area is included. Not all dieseases included, this is new tool and in process of adding additional specilities:

Hope this help.
Thank you so much for providing me with so much information. ℹ️ I will read everything you sent from Cleveland and Mayo Clinic’s and thanks for some questions to ask my primary. I think part of me doesn’t want to hear the answers. Hopefully he will refer me. And I will check the health locater.
Thank you again and God Bless
