Covid Tremors and Covid Vibrations support group and Myoclonus (jerks)

Is there any treatment for Covid Tremors and Covid Vibrations and Myoclonus (sudden muscle jerks)?

My wife first got Covid in June of 2022, then in January of 2023 she got worse every day. Her fatigue got so bad she was in a wheelchair and one or two days away from going and probably not returning from the hospital. BUT, we found LDN (low dose naltrexone) and had an immediate good response for her fatigue (she is still very fatigued)
However, the Covid Tremors and Covid Vibrations and Myoclonus (sudden muscle jerks) have not gotten better and at times gotten worse. Her hand will travel 12 or more inches during her tremors. She can not eat or drink while she is in this state. If these tremors get worse, she will not be able to eat or drink and we all know how that ends.
She needs HELP
our PC has sent a referral to Mayo in Phonix, I pray Mayo will accept her. PLEASE HELP

So sorry to hear this. I wish I had a med or treatment that I tried that worked. But I have not. My tremors and myoclonic jerks are definitely not as severe as you have discussed

I seemed to notice a drop off in severity and duration of tremors and humming when I started daily 200 mg selenium and zinc and d3 and magnesium and daily vitamin. Seems to help. If I skip the selenium and zinc as couple days it tends to bound back pretty strong. Oh and good probiotic.

Her big tremors are much better the last few days (3 or 4), close to nonexistent. Her small tremors, like in her hand while doing a task are still present, but much less too. I am doing my best to remove all stressors in her life. We have figured out that stress is a major factor with these tremors. The nighttime internal vibrations and myoclonic jerks have also been less too.

I have had relatively mild hand tremors since getting Covid in early January 2023. With my hands at rest, there is no trembling, but when I use my hand and arm muscles to hold something light, like a cup or fork, the tremors become obvious.

My question, and perhaps it's only academic, is whether this is a normally occurring condition at my age (68) or if it's Covid-related. A doctor I saw gave me the ordinary neurological tests in his office and didn't see any problem.

There are no trembling problems with my larger muscles. I do seem to get out of breath more easily than before, but I'm not attributing that to Covid. Weight is normal and health generally good, nothing to complain about there.

Suggestions, comments?

I had an essential tremor prior to Covid. My essential tremor got much worse after Covid. Long Covid stinks!

Had Covid 1/2022. Had long Covid of cough, fatigue and shortness of breath. By fall 2022 only cough remained. Got pneumonia after Thanksgiving but 3 weeks later hand tremors, just like you are describing started, along with vertigo. Vertigo is gone but hand tremors remain but not constant. Tremors are worse when I am tired. But your shortness of breath could be related to long Covid. I’m in a pulmonary therapy program designed for post/long Covid folks. Neurologist couldn’t find anything wrong but of course when I saw him I had no tremors. Good luck !

I'm 73 and had very mild hand tremors prior to getting covid a year ago. Covid made the tremors much worse. I wouldn't think of ordering soup in a restaurant.

One of the things that brings on my wife's tremors is physical exertion, things like loading the dishwasher. So, yes I believe this is from Covid.
