I have had relatively mild hand tremors since getting Covid in early January 2023. With my hands at rest, there is no trembling, but when I use my hand and arm muscles to hold something light, like a cup or fork, the tremors become obvious.

My question, and perhaps it's only academic, is whether this is a normally occurring condition at my age (68) or if it's Covid-related. A doctor I saw gave me the ordinary neurological tests in his office and didn't see any problem.

There are no trembling problems with my larger muscles. I do seem to get out of breath more easily than before, but I'm not attributing that to Covid. Weight is normal and health generally good, nothing to complain about there.

Suggestions, comments?

Had Covid 1/2022. Had long Covid of cough, fatigue and shortness of breath. By fall 2022 only cough remained. Got pneumonia after Thanksgiving but 3 weeks later hand tremors, just like you are describing started, along with vertigo. Vertigo is gone but hand tremors remain but not constant. Tremors are worse when I am tired. But your shortness of breath could be related to long Covid. I’m in a pulmonary therapy program designed for post/long Covid folks. Neurologist couldn’t find anything wrong but of course when I saw him I had no tremors. Good luck !

I'm 73 and had very mild hand tremors prior to getting covid a year ago. Covid made the tremors much worse. I wouldn't think of ordering soup in a restaurant.

One of the things that brings on my wife's tremors is physical exertion, things like loading the dishwasher. So, yes I believe this is from Covid.
