Best Red Light Therapy Treatment and Device
I am looking for the best red light therapy treatment and device for my muscle recovery. I have pain in my joints and bones and I am looking for relaxation and getting rid of the pain completely. Sometimes, I even have inflammation in my ankles.
I recently came across some posts talking about red light therapy for pain management and I was wondering if anyone uses it for muscle recovery.
I researched on it a bit and found out that the 810nm to 850nm wavelengths in red light therapy devices are very helpful in muscle recovery and joint pains and the 1064nm wavelength is best for deep tissue penetration.
Any thoughts on this? Any devices that you would recommend me?

Hey Leah, red light therapy is definitely helpful in pain management and inflammation. I have been using red light therapy myself and have seen some amazing results with it. The wavelengths that you are talking about are absolutely on point.
Always go for a panel which clearly mentions the number of LEDs in it and the number or percentage of LED's for a particular wavelength. Some panel companies may not mention them completely and some have lower number of LEDs for the wavelengths that you are mentioning. A few of the companies that offer these wavelengths are:
1. Helio Cure
2. Rouge Care
3. RLT Home
But, always do your thorough research before buying.

4 ReactionsThanks a lot Samantha. This is really helpful. I'll do my research and see which company has the highest density of LEDs for these wavelengths.
Quick one - how much time do you do red light therapy?

1 Reaction@samanthamiller doesn't it mess with your sleep if you do it late in the evening? Just curious to know. Sorry for so many questions.
@leahramsay haha no worries. Always go with a panel that doesn't have blue light. Blue light, the one that also comes from a mobile phone, is a known disturber of sleep so you should avoid it post evening completely. My panel doesn't have blue light, only red.

4 Reactions@samanthamiller love it. thanks for all the help Sammy.
I was thinking about this red light therapy, but have not done it yet. I started using Creatine, 5mg tablet or powder format. that has helped with muscles, fatigue in general and given me less brain fog. Check it out! It's for weight lifters, I am not a weightlifter, but, I have muscles all over my body that aren't strong. Creatine strengths muscles and builds bone mass. Do your own research for this! My oncologist is on this! I have three doctors that agree that this will help with your complaints. It has with mine! No, I don't work for them!! Giggles

2 Reactions@angele2times I am skipping taking any additional medicine as these things may be addictive or can damage my existing routine. I specifically wanted to have something on the natural lines. Also, taking creatine tablets may increase my serum creatine levels which might not be good for the kidneys. So, I'd stay away. Thanks for the info though.

2 ReactionsPlanet Fitness has red light therapy and massage chairs and is super cheap. Why not try that first. Insurance may even cover the membership.
