Post Covid Symptoms and what has helped me.
I have fibromyalgia and post thyroid cancer in 2000. Got Covid May 2022. Have all of the symptoms long haulers experience. Dizziness, hair loss, canker sores in mouth, brain fog, trouble focusing, fatigue, muscle aces and pain, muscle weakness, etc, etc. Have had eye exam with a small spot behind my retina that was not there on exam before Covid. Working with PT doing the same exercises others have explained. Seems that Covid has increased my fibromyalgia symptoms. Working with my primary doctor with treatment. I have started low dose naltraxone and this helps with brain fog, decreasing the pain and helps with sleep. Along with the PT I hope this is going to help in the long haul. I also take an antihistamine for my ears and head stuffiness, thyroid replacement, celexa for anxiety and calcium with vitamin D. Hoping to be on the mend soon. Hope this may help anyone else dealing with this too

Not sure if any hyperbaric chamber would work, verse the Aviv? THey do not have locations in Arizona. Just want something to help the immune system get regulated again. Covid has disregulated it, and so far doctor's just are not providing enough info to try to remedy some of this stuff for long haulers. Blood work is fine, yet mega brain fog and muscle pains all over, yet was super health before. Any blood tests, medications, etc. that you might recommend please post. Thank you.
Is gabapentin still working well for you by chance? My 2nd go around of covid much worse than first, and now the muscle pain is so intense when doing nothing buy carrying in a bag of groceries. It is as if I lifted weights for a week. I am searching for what are the known medications to date that are actually working. There is a good video on youtube with Dr Mobeen and Dr. Berkowitz on some things they use, but if you run across any new research to shut off this immune response in the body due to the viral remnants left in the body. They do not leave the body and if agitated the immune system does not know what to do. It is the heart of it all and hope the docs find the drug that stops the bad immune response. Thanks for sharing on the forum.
Try hydroxychloroquine. It takes awhile to kick in but worth it. I had such awful muscle pain in my legs it was debilitating. This has saved me. I had no pre-existing conditions. It was mimicking lupus. So read about that. It made sense to me.
My rheumatologist gave me hydroxy but I have not tried it yet. One of my other doctors said it is harder on the gut health. I tried Ivermectin on my first covid, as well as acyclovir for EBV, and seemed to work, but my new doctor does not want to try these again on me. I have never had such muscle pains. If you come across any other forum posts on medications for covid muscle issues, feel free to post them. My doctor said the spike proteins in the body from covid cause all the irritation and immune system does not know what to do. It is sad there is not just a medication that can treat the viral persistence in the body from covid. Thanks again for posting.
Talk to another Dr about it. Ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine don’t do anything for Covid but long haul Covid hydroxychloroquine can help. It takes a little while to kick in so all those people that were taking it to help with Covid studies found it did nothing. Research how it helps lupus and make your decision. The leg pain was awful for me for over a year. I was active and could hardly walk. This saved me.
