If i catch a cold , i need the mucinex xr twice a day no matter what. Otherwise i dont use it.(it usually takes me 2-3 weeks to get over a cold these days. Since I have 5 little grands, Ive been on mucinex a lot. Next week I’m going to ask my new pulmonologist what he thinks.
My pharmacist, puts the 'Guai' in capsules. Finding a "compounding pharmacist" is the trick.
I don't know if I can print the name and address; she is in BC, and I have the prescription sent to me across the country. Mailing across the border, for my American " Connect Buddies" may be a problem?.. would need to check that.
Does anyone know if I may print the contact information??
I do not understand why you need a pharmacy? You can get just plain Guaifenisin on Amazon. When I first started trying Mucinex it seemed to help but now it does not. Not sure why.
Thanks for the tip. On checking it seems that this is available in Amazon US. to send to Canada with the shipping and exchange rate (!), it would be more expensive than a prescription, and my health plan covers most. But I will keep checking with Amazon, things do change..
Thank you!

I prefer to purchase my generic Mucinex ER (600 mg) at a pharmacy. My Dr. wrote a prescription for 180 tablets (90 day supply), which I filled at Walgreens with a GoodRx coupon for $31.34. You can also get them at CVS for $30.99 (with GoodRx coupon). Good luck! Donna T
