Lone caregiver: looking to talk about cats, books, music, food, more..
Hello,
I'm a member with the caregivers but would like to hopefully find a couple of people to talk to about cats, books, music, food - most everything under the sun. Thanks🙏šŖ»

Bigmaya, What a lovely response. Praying for you & your husband this a.m. I have a question as it sounds like you have had a long life with cats. Mine will simply not drink
water. He is on prescription Royal Canin canned food for his bladder and it has gravy in it, so I add the hydracare from Purina as well. Any suggestions to get him to drink water? Thank you precious lady! Hugs & Prayers...."People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care". -author unknown
@bigmaya Yes, we should be thankful that our lives have lots of interesting activities, a lot of travel, mostly for academic conferences and research in libraries and archives in Austria and Germany. I write about music in the Mozart period and I edit unpublished musical works (mostly sacred music) that I find in archives. My editions make available music to be performed by musicians today that otherwise would remain buried in archives. It is very interesting. Our cats heard a lot of music!
Hi, I'm not a caregiver, but I am full of admiration for people who care for loved ones 🥰.
I am a music lover, with a fairly broad range of musical taste. Being a musician, some of it is a bit esoteric. But my classical music tastes are not! I adore Schubert, and think his 5th symphony is sublime. I don't really listen to country music, but just heard an amazing rendition of Hoagy Carmichael's Stardust by Willie Nelson. So beautiful....
Hello Ricm58,
I looked up Hoagy Carmichel both by Willie Nelson and alone and loved it!! Thanks for the tip!!
I don't like symphonies, l derive more pleasure from listening to a single instrument- violin, cello, though l also love trios, quartets and quintets. I adore Nathan Milstein, Arthur Gromiaux, l could go on and on. But l also love B.B. King, The Stones, Tina Turner and so many more😺💐
Yes, my taste is broad too! The Itzhak Perlman recording of Paganini's 24 Caprices is wonderful. I love rock too... the Eagles' Hotel California, Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. One song I really love is Life's been good by Joe Walsh. And She's not there by Santana 😍
I just wanted to add this beautiful gardenia that blossomed yesterday in our garden. But am not sure it's working... Wish you could all enoy the fragrance, so lovely
I hope it works now🙄
You mentioned cats. I have had several cats throughout my lifetime. My current cat PICKED me when I went to the local Humane Society. He must have known something! He has been the sweetest ever, but I cannot let him go outside as it is too dangerous here with owls, eagles, fox etc. He has adjusted well to being inside only. I have screen doors for him to get a sniff of the outside, plus I have many hanging bird feeders for him to watch from inside. Heās such good company. We take ācatnapsā every day after lunch.
My cat drinks some water every day, but his favorite is a bit of milk.
I think the reply is on the wrong conversationā¦ā¦
