Has anyone used CBD oil for chronic pain? And do you have results?
I'm a chronic pain suffer of 35+ years. Scoliosis is the culprit. Not a disfiguring curve but non the less painfully destructive. Almost every disc is bulging from 3mm to 6mm. I've had 2 spinal fusion. C 3-7 and L 4-5. Have 4 nerve root impengements with spondylosis in some areas and stenosis at interval from neck to sacral. Take steroid shots when I can with positive results for a few weeks. Always have Norco 5mg/325 ready if needed. Unfortunately I have found the best way to keep pain down is to lie down. So most of my days are spent on my bed. Any suggestions?

The use of Hemp and Cannabis as medicine in Chinese and other cultures go back over 3000 years. Its the low quality and mom and pop products made by who knows who that has surface on every corner of America that is the problem. Research what you are talking about before calling good medicine dangerous. Sports med? Now you're talking nonsensical representations a good deal of the time. Make sure your doctors are not quacks. I was injured by a doctor so, and lucky to de alive. Research everything and everyone YOURSELF!!! Choose a wise doctor not some newbie.
Still being evaluated, but there is a whole lot of completed studies to consider. In general the study outcomes indicate areas of pain where CBD was no help at all, other cases where it may help but use other methods first, and still others where the authors conclude it does help in certain types of pain. A mixed bag for sure.
Check the National Institute of Health (NIH) study of studies: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7092763/
and NIH has data on many others.
The matter of pain and human growth is symbiotic, yet pain may offer insight into a developing condition. I marvel at the use of canines to detect neoplasm tissue growth and the reluctance to more development of this as a diagnostic procedure. My issue with CBD is that it may be useful, or just a reason not to question its source. There needs to be established methods of determining its purity. Of course, the reduction of levels of pain and the source that triggered it and neuroactivity research continues to offer incredible insight and progress..
@timbrownFI thank you for the excellent NIH article. I read a study done by Roswell Park Cancer Institute on CBD indicating that vaping CBD causes greater lung cell damage than tobacco. Hence, I’ve switched completely to orals.
That's great! Makes me feel useful.
I'm so sorry for your pain and suffering I pray to God that the screws will hold and that God will strengthen your spine God bless you
Thank you for your blessing. God helps those who help themselves 🥰
Good evening @factorvautoimmunegirl, I hope you are doing well in your recovery program. Was this a program for addiction? From my interpretation of your response, it appears that you are in recovery from the "solo" use of THC. I have not used THC without CBD and I have not faced any signs of addiction. It seems that your pain and other symptoms are becoming more of a problem for you. Perhaps you should learn about other options at this time. Since relief from pain using medical cannabis, requires THC, it may be helpful to consult a pain clinician specialist.
Wishing the best of help to come your way.
Chris
