Iron Depletion in Blood related to COVID?

Posted by stellm @stellm, Jun 11, 2021

Has there been any reports of iron depletion in the blood after receiving the Pfizer vaccine?

I too recently found my Ferratin levels are low at 8. I’m tired a lot. I gave blood twice last year because I hear about the need for more blood donations. It’s helpful to read it can take 6 months to build back the blood. Thank you. I don’t eat much meat but will start eating more broccoli and spinach and take Vitamin C with my iron supplement on an empty stomach.
Thank you for the discussion.

Iron… very low normal range. Iron saturation below normal at 17%. Fatigued after exerting the slightest. Heart pumps fast to get oxygen to body.
This condition had been on going for 9 months, Under VS Dr. Care. Doctor is stumped …I’m requesting hematologist and possibly cardiac screening….although EKG, Ultra Sound and Stress Test are good.
I am 77 year old male. Comments??

I did some more research about the Covid 19 Bivalent mRNA booster. In 4-6 months your cells learn to replicate itself. Make antibodies to fight it off.You can get blood test to see if you have antibodies against Covid. It might take a little longer for you hang in there!

Hello @stellm. I am not aware of any reports of iron depletion in the blood post Pfizer vaccine and when doing a quick search for information, did not come up with any either. Conversely, there is quite a bit of information on the importance of not going into the vaccine with iron deficiency due to the way in which the vaccine works. This article can shed light on the details.

I had a friend who long ago got a peptic ulcer from xpili bacteria and he said he was near death.I thought I had a wheat allergy and my dr simply nodded his head that it was possible.I was able to eat fried rice until I had difficulty digesting the fried rice.I thought of my buddy and his peptic ulcer and found flagyl is the go to antibiotic.I got the nurse practitioner to prescribe flagyl and it has helped. I may consult a hematologist? I am also going to continue taking flagyl until I run out of pills.

Be careful with Flagyl found to be carcinogenic with animals tested.
