Was doing some research on Symptoms of Lyme Disease the other night and ran into similar symptoms of Mold Toxcity. Does anyone know anything about it?
Thanks,

Can I get that information as well? I had stage 3 mold toxicity in 2011 and menengitis in 2007 that are the lining of the brain so I'm way sensitive. I'm only a couple hours north of Dallas.

Hi @sundance6, About the only thing I know about mold toxicity is that is bad for your health. I found some information that may be helpful.

Mayo Clinic - Mold allergy - Symptoms & causes

Mold 101: Effects on Human Health

Do you think you might be affected by mold toxicity?

I have mold toxicity. I took a mycotoxin test which is done thru a urine test ( white plains laboratory). It showed my aspergillosis in my body was 47.5 ( notrmail is 7.5

I am struggling however to find the proper guidelines on detoxing and getting this out of my body. Right now I am taking GI Detox and NAC
I a also doing pulse magnetic therapy, epsom salt baths and plan to start sauna.
I have cut all gluten, dairy, sugar out of my diet .

I am only in a few weeks of doing all this so my symptoms are all still there . I was a very active person before this . Walked 3-4 miles a day, yoga 4 days and weight training 2 days .
Since I have not bee able to do anything . Its horrible !!!!

Welcome @havy, I know it's difficult trying to figure out what needs to be done to get back to normal. Here's some information from Mayo Clinic that might be helpful.

"How do I get Aspergillus out of my system?
The most effective treatment is a newer antifungal drug, voriconazole (Vfend). Amphotericin B is another option. All antifungal drugs can have serious side effects, including kidney and liver damage. Interactions between antifungal drugs and other medications are also common."

Am I correct that you had to do your own testing? Have you seen a doctor or specialist?

The our lake house has mold 41,000 of aspergillosis and penicillium in our kitchen area . I had Covid twice .

This is great, people working together and helping each other with something that seemed taboo at first, until I was diagnosed with CIRS, MCAS, LYME with Positive result for Bartanella and Yeast over growth in my gut along with Two HLA-DR genes and two mutations of the Mthfr, and am a ultra rapid metabolizer, but terrible at detoxing, finding a dr to take me seriously has been hard, plus now am sensitive to dust and dog hair, etc. It's werid because 3 years ago I was climbing Colorados 14ners trying to hike up all 58 but made it to 34 14,000 ft mountains to moving into a home and becoming bed bound within 1 hrs of treatment. To a degree. My drs didnt know what was happening so they but me on add meds and anxiety meds and now I'm dependent on those but helped me be a dad and husband. This also has back fired on me. I found a Dr which helped, but $ was an issue after I spent over $100,000 in remediation and medical bills along with losing my truck to mold and the still to this day an unknown powder/moldy looking substances under my truck that would attack me if I washed it. It felt like getting stung by hundreds of bees. The Dr helped but needed to find a CIRS/LYME DR that lived near me. The one I saw was out of state and had me do test that I couldn't get down unless my primary care Dr thought it to be helpful, or someone to do them, plus the cost was so expensive, and wanted me to get things i couldnt afford. I just moved to Saint Louis and hope to find a Dr here soon that has an office that does everything there. Be careful with western drs as they'll give you drugs you don't need, and think your crazy. I got better but then got worse and while I'm waiting to move in our home here in saint louis my symptoms appeared again much worse.
If I had a chance to do it over again, I'd get a loan and find a team of Dr's to help me beat this since I'm kinda nit able to work, although I do because or kids need me and the $ to help them as well. They have it to, but my wife doesn't. Her OAT and Mycotoxin test were normal. Lucky... this is a big thing and I'm so glad and feel connected now to help. Anyone in Saint Louis that what's to get a cup of clean coffee, let me know. It's a lonely condition. Good luck to everyone and let's hope this gets national attention and western med Dr attention.

I was tested for mold and found to have 5 molds my body was reacting to that made me ill - digestive issues for me. But it can affect in many ways - lungs, brain fog, etc. Many doctors do not know how to test for mold. I go to a functional medicine doctor. And as mentioned above, once you discover mold in your home, you need experts to eradicate it. Bleach doesn’t kill it. in the room where we had mold, the carpet had to be removed and all furniture had to be thoroughly cleaned before placing it back in the room, however you need to learn that process too in order to remove mold spores.
My doctor also recommended epsom salt baths that help pull the toxins from your body as well as infrared saunas or dry saunas to sweat. Sweating also helps the body release toxins but be sure as you sweat you wipe it off. If you let it dry on your skin, it gets absorbed back in.
Wishing anyone with mold toxicity the best in finding help.

I should also mention my doctor prescribed NAC 2x daily, GI Detox and Chlorella and Bentonite Clay liquid form - all three I take together- and Toxease 2x daily. I’ve been in these for over a year. Testing 3 months ago showed I was making progress and getting closer to normal ranges. I’ll be retested again soon.

@carlshorts. Mold toxicity certainly sounds like a difficult disease. Have you gone to the NORD (national organization for rare diseases) site for information and help? You can just call them or use the website. I attended a webinar, where NORD was present. They seemed extremely kind and helpful.

Will you try calling and then let me know what you learn?

Thank you for this resource, this brings tears to my eyes as I wonder why I never reached out before when I needed help back then, but am grateful for you Becky and everyone who responded, WOW. It warms my heart. As I wasn't sure if I was going mad. I put some pictures in to see if anyone sees anything strange when buying a home during covid over the phone pretty much, even got an air sample and saw the molds inside didn't match outside. This inspector was higher rated. I wish he did a better job and didn't say mold is over rated. Back then I didn't know what could happen to you under the right circumstances while present in a smelly, sick home.

Thanks Becky I'll keep you updated. Thanks for caring.

Peace and Love,
Carl J Grandinetti
