Alternative Treatments for MAC: immunotherapy, etc.
I was diagnosed with MAC a little over 2 years ago. Have not yet starting taking antibodies. Although I suspect this will happen in the very near future. Has anyone explored alternative treatment, i.e. immune therapy?

Who is conducting the Nitric Oxide studies?
Nancy, do you have a link to the nitric oxide studies to which you refer?
I might have picked it up in random research or from the NTM 2019 Conference on You Tube. Several excellent speakers including Dr. Charles Daley from National Jewish Health. I keep watching to catch everything recorded.
Colleen @colleenyoung Here is a link to latest info on Nitric Oxide as a non-antibiotic treatment for NTM/MAC. https://www.beyondair.net/news-events/press-releases/beyond-air-announces-positive-data-from-at-home-pilot-study-in-patients-with-refractory-ntm-lung-infection-treated-with-no-using-the-lungfit-go-at-the-chest-annual-meeting-2022/ Bill
Thanks @poodledoc this is great news, wonder how long before it is on the market. Heather
Sounds so promising!! No more big 3; that would be a dream! I wonder what the cost will be and when itll be available.
Yes, Vit D is really important that the levels are normal. Also Vit A. I found this on pubmed and brought the articles to my MD who checked my blood and sure enough they were both low. Interesting articles!
You want to try a vitamin D and then re test some time later to see if it has brought your levels up. I found that a vitamin D spray or a liposomal version brought my levels up (around 80 now) whereas a regular D did not. Also if you take D you also need to take vitamin K.
Yes, I take Vit K too! Nice to know that other's are on the same page for their supplement support for NTM/MAC. Good one!
@irenea8 I take both Vitamin D3 and K2. K2 being much superior to K1 for various health reasons.
