What are your recommendations for travel nebulizer?
A few months ago there were some emails about what to take and do when traveling. Someone from the NYC support group recommended the PariTrekS portable nebulizer. I ordered it from Just Nebulizers. When I ordered this I inquired at Just Nebulizers if this could be used with an aerobika. They referred me to Pari and its spokesperson could not definitively endorse their product with an aerobika. I got the same sense that Katherine always got that they didn't want to recommend a competitor nor endorse something for fear of liability. In any case, it can operate as an efficient nebulizer with a small compressor for travel. I ordered mine with a battery. The battery (not really needed) came defective and neither Just Nebulizers or Pari would give me a refund. Pari will be sending a replacement but as mentioned, battery is really not necessary. If you travel by air, do you pack your Pari Trek S in your carry on or in checked luggage? I have the same routine you do using the Ombra at home with the Aerobika attached. I just purchased the Pari Trek S for an upcoming trip to Florida. Just wondering if TSA has a problem with the Pari Trek S in carry on luggage.
I always carry my nebulizer, 7 days of solutions, and all my meds on. Too much danger of lost or delayed luggage. And, at times I have needed to neb between flights.

I cut the label off the box, put the vials, label and copy of the Rx label in a clear zipper bag. My daughter just came back from a trip that included 4 flights, and had no issue doing this either.

No problems with that or multiple vials of Arikayce and that nebulizer in addition .
International and domestic flights. Have never been questioned

3 ReactionsGood to know....what about meds that are to be refrigerated? My Brovana and glutathione both are to be kept cold. Short cruise coming up but trying to plan a longer European cruise late in the year.

Until they discontinued it, I used the Philips Inspire Go. Since that's gone, I'm thinking seriously about the Pari eflow (ghastly expensive) but when I think about what college cost and that I need it for the rest of my life, it's tempting.

There's a compressor based by Pari but I've read it v e r y slow.

I've also read that the mesh handheld portables don't deliver saline deep enough in the lungs so you might not get the same benefit as a compressor based. Apparently, the Pari eflow is an exception, people love it.
