Post COVID: Anyone experiencing internal vibrations?
I have had long covid for over two years and a symptom began sporadically during the initial seven weeks that has worsened since a second covid experience. It began as a “flutter” in my chest upon waking, lasting 5 seconds or so. It is not painful just a new sensation I have never experienced. After getting covid again in February 2022, the internal vibrations have become full body and go on for forty seconds. It is always upon waking or falling asleep temporarily during meditation and waking again. Long Covid retired me from my profession and I am not under any stress. I had a recent cardiac incident (also due to long Covid) and wore a Holter monitor. I triggered it whilst having an IV incident: definitely not cardiac induced. Has anyone else experienced IV like this?

I have tremors but only when I am lying down. They have moved from just the lower part of my body to the upper part now and are stronger. I have seen every type of doc but a neurologist. When does this end?
@frking Hi there. How annoying that must be. Do they continue in your lower body in addition to the upper, or have they traded off? How long have you been experiencing tremors?
Hello @vash. Two years is a quite a while to be feeling those sensations. I get buzzing and odd electric shocks from Central Sensitization Syndrome (CSS). Unfortunately Covid long haulers experience CSS also. Did you ever get a chance to watch the CSS video I posted by Dr. Sletten from the Mayo Clinic?
How do you manage the vibrations and tremors? Do you experience any additional symptoms?
may i ask what did your neurologist say it was? i've seen two. but mine are external also. but i get vibrating feelings in my sleep.
Hello,
I have the tremors in upper and lower body. Last night they were closer together and much stronger. I became concerned at their strength, and hope they will not affect my heart. I have worn the heart monitor, had numerous EKG’s and many other tests concerning the heart. The next and last test will be a cardiac cauterization. So far so good, but why the pinching pain, the pressure in the chest and the shortness of breath? My lungs test clear. My symptoms also include the profuse perspiration, and I still have the fatigue and smell of burning wood in my nose. Not so bad compared to others. This has been going on for 6 months now.
@frking I'm assuming you mean a cardiac catheterization, used to study the various functions of the heart? More of a final diagnostic procedure to rule out diagnosis.
Thankfully your heart is functioning normal thus far. My daughter had a heart ablation as a teenager and went through the whole wearing heart monitors for years. It was annoying to her and I'm sure annoying for you as well.
There is a fear when experiencing abnormal feelings, senses and functions like you are experiencing that are unexplainable through test results. You are doing all the right things by going through the motions of ruling out any major malfunctions. I'm sorry you've been at it for 6 months.
Have you read up on Central Sensitization Syndrome (CSS)? There has been talk of it through Connect and this thread. I'm certainly no doctor, but you really do display the various wide range of symptoms that CSS can cause. When I wasn't aware of my CSS diagnosis, I went through a rough patch of diagnostic testing on most of my body, all of which came back normal except for Small Fiber Neuropathy. I had concern about my organs as well from digestion to heart and lungs.
Anyhow, CSS may help explain your unexplainable symptoms such as smelling burning wood, pressure in your chest, pinching pain, perspiration and shortness of breath.
If you're interested in learning more, here is a video from Dr. Sletten of the Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, FL explaining the science behind CSS and its course of action:
I wish you good luck on your final heart test. Keep thinking positive. Do you mind letting me know what you think of the video? I'm curious...will it connect for you? Have a wonderful day! 😊
Thank you for your reply. I will definitely look into it.
I have not seen a neurologist yet. It is strange that this is happening, but my time has been taken up with a Cardiologist and Pulmonary doctor. At this time of year it is difficult to get appointments, even for a blood draw.
I will definitely look into a neurologist and post results.

Finding a functional medicine doctor can be really helpful someone who is highly educated at looking outside the box and treating alternatively. After 8 months post vaccine injury and many of the same long Covid haul symptoms including the vibrations and twitching , and having every test under the sun, my diagnosis was that dormant viruses have been activated in my body - viruses we don’t even know we are carrying. And that is why we have a host of symptoms that don’t always make sense under one condition. Being treated with natural remedies as I was also diagnosed with hypersensitivity disorder through this process by an immunologist. Finally feeling like things are moving in the right direction. Good luck - this is a long journey.
