Being attacked by some negative ideas
I have depression. I am being attacked by the following ideas. I am afraid and anxious. This world is really terrifying. No one loves anyone in this world. I can sense that. When I deal with people working in restaurant or supermarket, I can sense how they are doing their job because they have to, not because they love their society. Okay, so why should I get anxious by this? Here it is; the product you receive whether it is from food industry or pharmaceutical industry or even you laptop of smartphone, you are not aware of the way it was manufactured and delivered to you. Probably food is not that clean; this makes me worry about my health and worry about that others don’t love me or anyone else. The clothes I am wearing currently, were they manufactured with care or not? Chemically manufactured stuff we are dealing with during our everyday life is manufactured from toxic chemicals. If these toxic chemicals are not removed properly then things will not be fine.
I really need help to get out of this loop

Good evening @my46th. Welcome to Connect. We are a group that believes in sharing our experiences to help others.
From reading your post, I feel pretty strongly that you are experiencing quite a bit of stress in your day. I have been there. About 6 years ago.....that was quite a problem for me especially after being diagnosed with SFN....small fiber neuropathy.
I found a great Yoga teacher and then.....she told me that she also taught MBSR, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. Without my mindfulness practice and the opportunity to use it daily
as the focus of my meditation. I have found that my mind behaves quite well now. I approach everyone including myself with unconditional positive regard. I offer myself compassion every day to make sure that I am also the recipient of the mindfulness benefit.
If you Google MBSR, you will see that there are free online MBSR classes. Perhaps you have read about school children with behavior issues that do a complete turnaround and begin to value themselves and their education.
Let me know if you have questions after reaching the article. Since mindfulness is mentioned quite frequently on Connect, you can put the word "mindfulness" in the Search space at the top of this screen. That will pull up every post that mentions mindfulness.
May you be free, safe and protected from inner and outer harm.
Chris
Thank you Chris I will surely research on MBSR.
Take care and be safe.
All I can say is ‘spot on’. Thanks so much.

Perhaps, being attacked by "negative thoughts" is a part and parcel of human life; I don't know! Nevertheless, I myself had to deal with this phenomenon as well. I understand that in certain circumstances only some form of medication can help tackle this issue down to manageable proportions! In my life experience, self help through understanding the phenomenon of negative thoughts can be a helpful start. People like Eckhart Toll, and many others have written about understanding and self-help; I think mostly based on the Buddhist philosophy. The best book I found was "the untethered soul" by Micheal Singer with lots of practical "TO DO" type of advice! Perhaps, it is personal preference, for some people-well known prayers are the answer (already mentioned by some respondents here). Best wishes, blessings!
