Iron Depletion in Blood related to COVID?

I don't know if blood type has anything to do with it. I am A positive.

I am O Positive. Someone wrote that they thought O types were more inclined to have negative reactions to the vaccine. It may be true, but O is the most common blood type.

Yes, I had Pfizer Feb 2021 and my HGB, ferritin, iron all started dropping. A1C startgoing up. up.

Me too. I have heard of a couple of other people in our 55 year old community that are fighting the same challenges after receiving the Pfizer vaccine.

Ref blood issues - Does anyone know the number for hemocrit in 75 year old woman and numbers for hemoglobin in 75 year old woman. My mom received a blood test that said both levels were low
but cant get an answer on what they should be for her age. Going for another blood test and leould like to to know what her numbers should be on both should be for her age. I am new to site and not sure where to get info. Thank you so much

I was under the impression that numbers were lower for elderly. I saw these numbers on chart. I read that the numbers are different for elderly but can't locate numbers. Thank you much for replying I really appreciate it.

My 14 year old daughter was feeling very bad a few days after Moderna vaccine very pale chest hurts took her to the doctor and as soon as I told her she just had the vaccine she immediately tested her heart. My daughter had an extremely high resting heart rate and had to be put on a heart monitor. Also she had very low iron which I was not that worried about at the time due to her heart issues. Was told is just heart palpitations and is just a coincidence. I put my daughter on iron and vitamin C tablets which she took everyday for three months plus I increased iron in her diet. She just had her iron levels re-checked and they are now even lower and requires a iron infusion. My daughter was fine before the vaccine. Not happy that we all just get told it's just a coincidence, I don't think it is.

Thanks for sharing your story. I think it’s probably way more widespread than people realize, especially in those who find out incidentally. My SIL recently found out she’s anemic also, probably wouldn’t even had mentioned it to me had she not known my story.
