Hi @andy1967 and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. While I cannot answer you question directly, I'd like to invite fellow members @dbj21006 @davej @bkvfuller @debking1021 @thankful @danab and @scottij that may have some thoughts to add to your query.

Here's a Mayo Clinic Radio segment about the benefits for minimally invasive and robotic heart surgery.

Have you consulted with a physician yet?

@andy1967 I had severe leaking mitral and aortic valves so am not familiar with valve blockage. My open-heart repair of said valves did not work and so I was referred to Mayo. The Mayo Connect Community is a good resource for support and much less qualified for medical advice. As Amanda suggested, consulting with a qualified physician is your best route and from my experience there is no place better than Mayo. Then again, I am biased. They saved my life with a transplant.
Best always,

HI @amandaburnett, thank you so much. I am asking for my brother, he has 3 blockages so the doctor put a stent in one and the other 2 blockages the doctor said Andy needs heart surgery. I don't know everything about it I was just trying to research a little. I know my brother doesn't want open heart surgery so when I saw this about robotic heart surgery I sent the link to my sister in law. I didn't know if they can do the robotic heart surgery on my brother if he has 2 blockages. I'm going to call the mayo clinic and talk to a doctor. Thanks for helping me.

@scottij thank you , my name is Kathy Yarbrough. My brother just found out this week he has 3 blockages. They put a stint in 1 but the doctor said Andy needs surgery on the other 2 blockages. I know he doesn't want surgery he is scared of that. I have heard so many good things about the mayo clinic and I don't know you but I am so happy for you , I take so many things for granted until something like this happens. I have been praising God for all the blessings he gives me everyday. I am just so happy for you!!
