Confused: Lung cancer, pulmonary fibrosis and more

New to this forum. Actually, never tried any type of forum so I really don't know what I'm doing. Anyhow, after reading some of the posts I guess I am not so bad off. I have lung cancer in my right lung, pulmonary fibrosis, peripheral neuropathy, chronic pancreatitis and just developed shingles last week. Am treating skin cancer on my forehead with fluorouracil cream. Need more radiation for Basel cell on my neck. Left lung cancer was treated with SBRT and is "cured".Right lung is not being treated due to the fibrosis. Still function pretty good, Only take 4 meds. Walking is the biggest problem. Want to dance again, walk, climb stairs, drive a stick shift. Want my legs Back! Sorry I rambled on. My heart goes out the others I read about. Wish they could solve all the problems, it hurts to me to read their stories and makes mine so trivial.

I no really don’t want the illosophy but I have no choice if i wanted to still be treated

@duckduck2020 Are you having surgery for an ileostomy by any chance?

You have quite a few cancer clinics near you. I don't know if these trials are for your specific cancer. Here is a link on how to begin the process.

Duckduck- I know that it's not going to be pleasant, I hear you. Of course, it's your choice but sometimes "ya gotta do what ya gotta do" and it's horrible.

@duckduck2020 Oh my gosh, in that case do it! Have that ileostomy done so you can get on with your chemo treatments.
You’re having all those issues with diverticulitis so your lower intestine are not functioning properly. The ileostomy will help with that. It’s also reversible and may not be a permanent situation in your case, but a means to get moving forward. ☺️.
At least by getting that done, you’re making a step in the right direction again to getting your cancer in check!
I know it sounds awful and it’s not a walk in the park. A good friend of mine went through a similar experience and found that the anxiety and ‘thoughts’ of this procedure seriously out-weighed the actual event. It helped her get on the road to recovery.
I’ve been in your shoes...not the ileostomy part, but I had a very serious cancer journey and a bone marrow transplant. Believe me there were days I found it hard to get up in the morning...as in, “What fresh hell awaits today?” But they were short-lived moments as I knew I was not done on the face of this earth yet. I worked around all the tubes and pokey things out of my chest and all the other delightful trappings at the time.
It was all worth the effort and aggravation! I’m still here, and an advocate for positive thinking. So grab all the strength you have and face this head on, my friend. You’re stronger than you think!

I’m also from your neck of the woods. So I know you are getting good care. What hospital will you be in for the surgery? Are you with Green Bay Oncology?

@duckduck2020 I am happy to be on board with Lori to encourage you to keep going in this battle! Since I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2004, and looked at a 3-5 year life expectancy based on then current treatments available, I have seen births of my 9th grandchild, in a month will greet our 6th great grandchild, attended grandchild graduations and weddings, have had opportunity to help family and friends, and much more good living. Easy? Of course not! But incurable myeloma does not define who I am and has not /will not destroy who I am. Please focus on the strength that is already yours, and embrace every opportunity for life that is offered to you. And know that you deserve every bit of it.

No I am with Theda at Neenah . Dr Geocaris is doing the surgery and she said it ail be it will be permanent
