@sunny1971 Welcome to connect.I have been sensitive to light in the house and sunlight.I have drops to use but have to wear dark sunglasses and a hat when I go out. Even before my cataract surgery Talk to your eye Dr but I don't know of anything else can be done This is all mine suggested to me

@johnbishop Hi John glad your surgery went well A couple of days to a week should do it When I was little I had the measles My Mom told the babysitter not to let light in the room she forgot and opened the blinds hence light on my eyes wore glasses all my life till my surgery but still do with my now Glucoma and M.D.

@rwinney and @lioness -- The cataract surgery went really well. Still not liking doing the multiple eye drops 4 times daily for 4 weeks and wearing an eye patch at night for the first week but I can't complain. I see much better with my current prescription and no longer need the computer glasses. I can actually use the computer without the glasses but the glasses make it much sharper for now. I wear the ugly wrap around sun glasses they gave me at the clinic but they do the job 🙂
yes he was prescribed all the stuff that goes with the cataract healing, but never saw this coming of cant even look at TV!! we are surfers. we know to where hats, sunglasses, sunscreen the whole deal, but this has gone on so long, i cant understand why he is so sensitive, today a little more ray of breakthru, it seems he could go out for a short while in the sun , with of course major sun shades !!

Yes. My last visit with ophthalmologist, he said I have “potholes” where my corneas aren’t getting any moisture. I have tried plugs in tear ducts, Restasis and using moisturizing drops several times a day. He switched me to Xiidra. I’ve been using for about a month now and my eyes do feel better. I’m anxious what doctor will see when I have follow up appointment. Side effects are a bad taste in mouth and eyes tear a lot for an hour or so after I use them. Those things Incan live with if it’s going to save the damage to my eyes.
