depression/anxiety
Today if feel so anxious and depressed. I say that because I feel that every day. Nothing changes and you know what because I am not doing anything for myself. Tomorrow I am starting a new yoga class it will be here at home alone. Its a start and I am tired of feeling this way and I must do something to
help myself instead of hoping the Lord will do it. I have to partisipate too. Wish me well and will keep you posted. God Bless Patti

@gingerw haven't thought how this would happen but I can see those who have written poetry, reading and having it opened to people who love to listen to poetry . Then those of us here that paint or whatever art form display there pictures . I have to talk to our manager here the women that taught the art that I went to Id like to see if he is willing to have her here . .We already have a lady that is from the theater that shows movies and has to critique them then vote on them she belongs to Sag. Ive been to busy but hopefully next week I can talk to Earl our manager about this.
A few years ago I started painting. There are 3 different teachers on youtube that I watch. It's free. So nice to do in the comfort of your own home.I have learned so much and I love doing it. I've done a few originals but I love the tutorials. Keeps your mind busy. If painting is not your thing find something that is. I also love cross stitch. Simple projects. Crochet and knitting. I only know how to do one stitch in knitting and really have no desire to learn more but I can do it while I watch tv or a movie. When I was pregnant it was puzzles. I should have started with yoga! Exercise would be wonderful. At the moment I'm scared to hurt myself lol I'm pretty clumsy and re covering from surgery

@brit Glad you’re out walking and doing yoga. Just came in from a short walk. It’s only10’ outside, but the dog insisted. But she only wants to stay out for 5minutes and it takes me 15 to get all my gear on! I make her walk at least once around the park on cold days. And it feels good!
@contentandwell good for you cold air is refreshing
@becsbuddy - have you by any chance seen this thread called "Art for Healing" on Connect? You might enjoy it. https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/art-for-healing
@lisalucier Thank you for directing me to the art-for-healing thread! It was wonderful and makes me more determined to get into my quilting. I found a class on Fabric Portraits on Facebook and figured “I could do that!” After 18months of not sewing, it’s a very hard class but I’m sticking with it!
@gingerw- Good morning. Where in RI will you train?
Welcome @julie1976- I find that I have stopped my art too. Having PTSD has put a crimp in my imagination and creativity. I use to do watercolors, even won a couple of awards. What kind of art do you do? What are the teaching videos that you watch?
Glad you did get outside. There is something about getting outside and breathing in that cool fresh air. Did my yoga this morning and I will keep on with it although right now (in the early stages) just starting I don't feel much different but I will keep on "trucking" God Bless Patti
