Thyroid? Or something else? Constant internal shakiness

Posted by amtxo1989 @amtxo1989, Feb 26, 2018

Going on 2months now everyday non stop. Sometimes mild and im able to ignore it but over the hours of day it becomes more severe and causing my heart rate to go up and my blood pressure to go very high (170/99) its episodic. Ive been to hospital for it 3 times for it and received no treatment as my vitals slowly return to normal. Xanex helps me feel calm but does not help the shakiness just helps me not get upset about it. Am only 28 years old and hypothyroid. I have never had symptoms like this in my entire life just started out of nowhere. Iam in good sTate of mind and aware of what's happening when the episodes happen. So far my doctors are clueless.

I have the internal shakiness 24/7 i suffer from Hashimoto's but nobody knows what it is from either, i am going crazy. The only thing is my BP does not go up but this is horrible i feel inside like when you are cold that you tremble all over plus i have Tinnitus that makes it worse. I have an appointment next Tuesday with my endo, although i do not trust any been to nine of them and none knows too much about my condition. I have been to the Neurologist and done many test and nothing just some white matter but he says that is nothing, have and MRI and an MRA both ok, have many labs and nothing so it is really very frustrating. If you find anything that helps you or take it away please let me know

You will get better when you get thyroid replacement hormone - I know it took me 10 years to finally find an endo who would test something other than TSH, T3, and T4. You must have the test for TPO antibodies. The ending who finally and kindly listened to me had me collect urine for a week. And yes, then my “borderline” thyroid disfunction” was diagnosed as Hashimotos and I was given Levothyroxine - and probably overdosed - which is even worse! Ended up on Armour Thyroid for 30 years, (tinnitus never stopped) now am back on a much lower dose of Levo. Recently discovered that most people with Hashis also have adrenal problems (craving salt is a tell-tale). Started treating adrenals by taking Fulvic minerals. Calms jitters within the hour - like 1 oz of liquid minerals. wonderful stuff! After 30 years researching this on my own I’ve discovered the root cause is probably in the gut and with the liver. I have begun and tried all sorts of natural protocols like ginger tea and probiotics. Every little bit helps! Hope this helps you! Please write and tell us what works for you all we have is each - other the medical community is ignoring Hashimoto’s and has been and it’s becoming pandemic.

Thanks for sharing the TPO antibodies test information @ambrose. @kahli here is information on the test from Mayo Clinic:

Thyroid peroxidase antibody test: What is it?

I started internal vibrations/tremors 4 months ago. I thought they were better but we’re not...until, I found what appears to be the reason behind the vibrations. I had a roof leak in June 2019 it was found. The hoa contractor plastered over two wall sections that showed water damage. One wall section was very large 7’ tall x 31” wide. He did repair the mold he found in the ceiling. I kept being very sick. Unusually so. I had a contractor come open the wall. He found very bad mold. I did the mold analysis test. Just got result. It was chaetomium. A dangerous mold that can permanently damage your nervous system. I have been staying in my daughters room, unfortunately she got the sofa because I’m disabled and have pain. I get the mildest vibrations now but only when I go near the water damaged area. It’s been an answer!!! And it’s been consistent. I sleep all night no vibrations and they used to be the worst at night. And I have just the super mild ones when I get even close to the fireplace. The rain leak was at the chimney. Unfortunately it’s not my liability and I can’t afford the repair. So I’m trying to work with the HOA in hopes neither of us have to spend money on an attorney. I will pray for you, if that’s ok. I don’t get on here often I’m visually impaired. But would ask you to consider if there has been any leak even in the past in the home you live in. Mold is coming out from my research to be a cause of things like Alzheimer’s. I saw they are going to put something out and it’s important info. I’m only good at research. I don’t claim it’s 100%. But might be important for you to did deep into research on the web about chaetomium and mold causing nervous system damage. I hope you improve. I know what you feel. Super scary all day long having those vibrations.

Hi, I have had some of these same symptoms for over a year and about 4 doctors later I’m still not any closer to finding out why this is happening. It started out with chest pain lasting about 15 minutes that sent me to a doctor, after running some blood tests and a normal ecg he diagnosed me with Hasimotos and sent me for an ultrasound of my thyroid. I started levthyroxin and multiple nodules were found and my thyroid was enlarged, but we will keep an eye on it. (He said)! Still getting chest pain I was sent to a cardiologist where after lots of tests was found to be normal (lol) ! Now I have a vibration throughout my body that is driving me nuts.. Sent to a neurologist that found neuropathy in my legs and feet and started another medication for that. Still get the chest pain about once or twice a month and vibrate like a cell phone . I’m at a loss...and another ultrasound scheduled this week!

I had vibrations for 4 months. I made a post today. My vibrations are so much better almost completely gone 2 weeks now! I only get super mild ones. Barely notice them and only when I get near the fireplace. I had a rain leak in the chimney last year. Long story short. The leak was not correctly fixed by the contractor. I had a mold analysis done. It was chaetomium mold. And at a problem level. I would research heavily mold. Chaetomium has been known tho cause perm nervous system damage. This is serious. There is research out there some site was talking about it being or mold being a cause of short timers disease. Im not a doctor. But consider researching mold. Consider if you’ve had any water leaks anywhere in your home in the past. I wish you peace and that you find the answer and get better. I’m seldom on here since I’m visually impaired. But I’ll try to check in.

Hi, have you figured out what was causing all of it? I have very similar symptoms and have no idea where to go. Have been to cardiologists already, nobody gives me any definitive answer. Could it be just from the thyroid? Thanks!

I know how horrible thes vibrations are!!! Oh my they are scary. And you have to go to sleep with them. They go on throughput sleep and daytime. Mine have improved but you may have read I had found mold from a recent roof leak. This chaetomium mold can permanently damage the nervous system. I’m not say you have mold I’m saying I moved out of that part of my house and sm waiting on Remediation. While I moved out I’m vibration free practically. They are so mild I barely can notice them. When the mold is gone I bet they’ll be gone. I have heart cath s going on. Had high BP all last year. Super high. 243/103. I’m visually impaired so please excuse my typos. I’ve been to all the docs you said. I’ve had all the tests you said. No answer. I have neuropathy but this is different. My neuropathy doesn’t vibrate. But. Main thing is I think I found my source...the mold from the recent roof leak. I pray you find your answer too.

Good morning @hope58 @jewles63 @khali I found this article about internal tremors that might be interesting. But, please, don’t get me wrong; I’m NOT saying that anyone one of these diseases! But, maybe there would be something of interest. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/322217
Have the doctors said anything? Maybe keep a log with time of day, location of tremors, how long they last, etc. Then you can show it to the doctors. Good luck to you!

Hi amtxo, I have experienced the internal tremors as well. It is in the back of my head, spine and hips. I have hashimotoe's (autoimmune thyroid disease) but not hypothyroid as of yet that I know of. I also experience neuropathy and weird imbalance issues like I am walking on sand or bouncing up and down really fast even though I am walking on normal ground and not bouncing! It's worse after using elevators and wearing heeled shoes. I have no diagnosis yet but I wanted to let you know that internal tremors I looked up may be harmless. I to do not know what causes it but I will keep you updated as I am undergoing test and treatments.

56 Year Old Male on Synthroid for 20 years. I had a Thyroid Storm in 2018 that went undetected for 10 months causing heart issues, terrible rashes, anxiety and anxiety attacks, etc. It took another year to get my Thyroid numbers normalized. Now I am left with internal shakiness/ feelings of weakness - especially in the morning. I'm taking Lexapro daily and Lorazepam when needed to deal with the anxiety from the internal issues. Daily issue, sometimes leading to panic attacks. Any thoughts anyone?
