Does CBD oil help you with your depression and/or anxiety?
I am curious to know if anyone has had success with CBD or Hemp oil helping with depression/anxiety? I’ve been reading a lot about it and am curious.
I've been reading about this and am very interested but would like thoughts/opinions from anyone who has actually tried it or knows someone who has. TIA
Thank you,
Laura

Thanks for all the useful info. It's awfully confusing. I did just go to my Dr. Who gave me buspar to take for anxiety. I started it yesterday.
Hello @georgette12
I have never personally take buspar, but I know of others who have taken it and it seems to help. I hope that you have good results as well.
I look forward to your continuing to post.

@gailb, can you verify these two statements are true? No. 1 - "Tincture" and "Oil" mean the same thing. No. 2 And in States where Medical Marijuana is not legal but CBD is, the maximum amount of THC must be less than .5%. I just want to make sure I'm playing by the rules. Thanks so very much. @cognac
May I ask why you were on tramadol ? I’ve been taking it for years for my back but I also take antidepressants too . It really doesn’t do much for pain
@cognac
Sorry, I just saw your questions for me. Tincture and oil are usually the same thing. I say usually because I can't guarantee that all manufacturers use the same terminology. I don't know about the less than 5% THC included to be legal in states where marijuana is not yet legal. I think you need to check in the state where you live to be sure. Most CBD does have a small amount of THC that helps it get going in your body. I hope this is helpful for you. Thanks for asking.

I believe that CBD is legal in all 50 states. Please note that this widely advertised CBD is from hemp which has no THC. CBD from marijuana plants will contain 5-7% THC and is only sold in states with either legalized medical marijuana or those states where recreational marijuana is legal. The CBD from marijuana, I am told, is far superior to that from hemp. I use the CBD from marijuana and it is effective at controlling my pain and the pins/needles effects of my Charcot Marie Tooth.
If Gary gave you an answer about where he buys CBD, I really appreciate your sharing it. There are even more sellers now in 2018. Thanks.

I posted this information much further in this thread. I've copied it here for you and others. I recommend reading all or most of the posts on this thread as others have provided important information as well as at least one other website for purchasing CBD. They are not necessarily in chronological order of posting.

For those who are interested in using CBD as a pain or anxiety reliever, here are two websites that provide excellent quality products and one has an extensive educational programs that are free. One series of the education programs helps each person determine their own dosage for their problems.
1. http://www.cbdlivingwater.org — has good products. I used the Living Water to help me withdraw from Tramadol.
2. https://mjstherapeutics.org — this is where I purchased my CBD Daily tincture. It's an excellent quality product and they have others you can order online.
3. https://healer.com/about-us/ educational programs. I need to take their education programs and determine the correct dosage for my arthritis and radiculopathy pain.
These are good sites with reliable products and information. I have tested these links now and they work.

Hi I’ve had back pain for around 5 years had to retire after 50 yrs of hairdresser because of it. Guess it was time anyway, Dr said I needed rods and I smoke so he won’t operate until I guit , yeah I know not good at all lol . So I take cocktail of meds tramadol gabapentin arthritis med wet heating pad in the mornings and usually ice packs in the afternoons several times depending on how much I move around . I also take antidepressant it’s very depressing you know. I use a pain relief oil called outback pain relief that I order from amazon it has worked better than anything else I’ve tried. Some days are better than others but I usually can’t leave my house until at least 2:00 the mornings are pretty rough. Even if I were to stop smoking I am Leary of back surgery st my age of 73 I’ve heard so many failed back surgeries.so I’m just living with it, but I know that I’m not near as bad off as some people, my sister is a lot worst than I am . I just thank God I can still get around and not in some nursing home somewhere lol
