Does CBD oil help you with your depression and/or anxiety?
I am curious to know if anyone has had success with CBD or Hemp oil helping with depression/anxiety? I’ve been reading a lot about it and am curious.
I've been reading about this and am very interested but would like thoughts/opinions from anyone who has actually tried it or knows someone who has. TIA
Thank you,
Laura

I use the 3% medical Marijuana that I recommended you take .25 ml dropper of. Try that dose. If you feel too much of a high, then take less. That amount works for me with very little psychoactive result. Don't be afraid of it, you can't overdose and it won't hurt you. Just try it when you are at home and are in a place where you feel safe.

Thanks so much Gail. I'll follow your recommendations. I was afraid of the psycoactive effects of the thc. I wI'll post results.
Have you tried CBD oil yet and if you have how are you doing on it? I have purchased it and will start on it tomorrow. I am tapering off a Benzo (Serax). I am tapering low and slow and am under the guidance of my Psychiatrist who also is with me on trying the CBD.
I have been using cbd oil for anxiety for 2 years and i want to say that its the best thing that has happened with me in years.

CBD is perfect for anxiety. I’ve tried many prescription and homeopathic remedies for anxiety, but with no effect. I think CBD oil is the best thing ever. After 20 min of vaping it I started calming down, I no longer felt hopeless and I actually felt like eating. No head ache, and I feel calm. It has not yet got me to the
100% where I want to be at but it’s better than nothing. I’m hoping this could help me through my hard time and I won’t have to take my medication. The good thing about CBD oil that is non-psychoactive therefore, you will not get high

Gail, I am in search of Living Water! It is not available in the state I reside in, so I’m looking elsewhere. How long can you safely use the water? Is it in any way addictive? I’m excited about hopefully getting some relief from these anxiety attacks of mine!
@annedodrill44
CBD and even Marijuana are not addictive in any way. You can use CBD in Living Water or any form for as long as you want to. I'm actually preferring the CBD tincture now, as I can take a larger dose and it works better for me. I dont use it very often anymore, just when
I'm having pain. It works better than Tramadol for me. You should be able to order the CBD Living Water online if you can't find it locally. Just Google it. I think CBD is legal nearly everywhere now.
I recommend that you look for the CNN Special called "Weed, Part 4", with Dr. Sanjay Gupta and watch it. You should be able to find it on the MSNBC website. It was shown on cable TV a couple of weeks ago. It was very informative and will give you positive information about how helpful CBD and Marijuana are for anxiety, seizures, withdrawal from opioids, and other things that are being researched currently. I had already figured out that CBD helped me withdraw from Tramadol, and was working for my anxiety during that time. It was great to have that confirmed officially by research.
Good luck with your research.

To everyone interested in the use of CBD and Marijuana and their effects, please watch the Full CNN Documentary, Weed Part 4 with Dr. Sanjay Gupta, April 30, 2018. It's on YouTube -Cannabis Saves Lives. This is an excellent documentary and will calm your fears about using either CBD, or THC. Great research has been done and is continuing. I have no concerns about using as much CBD tincture as I need to help with anxiety and pain.

@gailb It is the smoking of thus (also illegal here) that has caused my concern. Supposedly the oil is legal in all states. Doubtful insurance would pay for thus and I take only one med for hypothyroidism that insurance will not pay for and know to not mention pain lest I be seen as a criminal.
I have been doing some reading and mostly get confused. Will check into the youtube thing. Thanks again Gail!!!
@parus
Some people vape the CBD oil, which is legal everywhere. However, I don't like vaping or smoking anything as I've tried and it hurts my throat and lungs. I have the hunch that it's not good to put anything in my lungs. I smoked 2 packs of cigarettes a day for 17 years and quit cold turkey in 1982. Marijuana helped me quit cigarettes at the time, but I didn't smoke it often due to it being illegal at the time.
I put the CBD oil under my tongue and hold it there for about 30 seconds before swallowing it. It takes longer to have effect then, but it does work. For immediate mild effects, CBD Living Water works immediately.
You're right, insurance won't pay for anything connected to Cannabis. I'm surprised it doesn't pay for your thyroid med. Are you on Medicare? I am, and they pay for my Levothyroxin that I take for my thyroid. It's the generic for Synthroid. Also, perhaps you need an adjustment in the mcg. you are taking. I was being prescribed way too much for several years and had a lot of side effects. My new Endocrinologist cut it nearly in half and had me stop taking it completely for a week or two (can't remember how long). I was worried to learn that overdosing it can cause bone thinning! I don't need that at my age! I hope you get good information from the documentary.
