How about a laugh, (hopefully)
I believe laughter is the best medicine. Laughter has actually been scientifically proven to help people with depression issues.
Let’s give it a try so we can all get happy and feel better. Many Epilepsy forums I’ve been on had joke sections. I was probably the biggest joke of all since I didn’t get a lot of the jokes. They said the jokes couldn’t be above 4th grade level for me to understand them so my jokes may be rather simplistic but let’s give it a try.
Have a lovely day everyone,
Jake

Heard online:
A weasel walks in to a bar.
The bartender says I've never waited on a weasel. What can I get you!
"Pop" goes the weasel!

4 ReactionsNot really sure what season it is. I saw pallets of watermelons, Halloween candy, pool floaties, firewood, and Christmas lights at the store yesterday.
Facial recognition software can pick a person out of a crowd, but the vending machine at work can't recognize a dollar with a bent corner.

4 ReactionsA guy goes to his doctor for a checkup, and the doctor hands him three bottles of pills.
"Alright," the doctor says, "Take the blue pill for your arthritis, and take the red pill for your amnesia. The green pill, as needed."
The guy looks at the bottles and asks, "And what do I take if I forget which one is which?"
The doctor smiles and says, "That’s the green pill. It doesn't cure anything, but it makes you stop caring that you took the wrong ones."

7 ReactionsGH W Bush calls Ariel Sharon and is put on hold. He's angry. Sharon gets on the phone and Bush tells Sharon how important the US Pres is. Sharon says he was talking to someone more important. Who? Moses.
H doublya says put Moses on the phone. Few minutes. Sharon tells Bush "Moses won't speak to you." "Find out why?"
Sharon comes back to the phone. Moses says, "Last time I spoke to a bush, I ended up spending 40 years in the wilderness."

4 ReactionsHow about a laugh? 😂 I think we could all use one!
But since I can never resist doing a little research, I looked into whether laughter really has health benefits and surprisingly, there is some interesting research behind it.
Mayo Clinic explains that laughter can help reduce the body's stress response and promote relaxation. There has also been research specifically involving older adults suggesting that humor and laughter may support well-being, mood, and social connection, although researchers are careful to point out that more research is needed before making strong claims about specific health benefits.
For anyone who wants to read the research for themselves, here are two good places to start:
🔗 Mayo Clinic — Stress Relief From Laughter
🔗 PubMed — Laughter and Humour Interventions for Well-Being in Older Adults
So maybe laughter isn't going to stop us from aging... but at least we can have a little fun while we do it! 😂❤️

“Aging is funny. You know you’re getting older when you bend down to pick something up and start looking around to see what else you can do while you’re down there.” 🤣

You can't have a conversation without talking about your health.
(I would have posted this sooner, but the arthritis in my knees is killing me!)
