Hi
I’m 71 and have had fiber for 25 years. I do feel like it’s gotten different in the pain. When I had it when I was younger, it was more like stabbing pain and now it’s all over pain. But it sometimes confusing wondering, how much is my osteoarthritis and just plain old wear and tear on a body at age 71. I have been on Tamaya 2.8 for three months and it has been helpful. Decided to take the big leap and try a month at 5.6. The cost doubles but at 71 what am I saving all my money for lol. So in a couple months, I will let everyone night how it is working. Perhaps at that time I will be able to wean off the gabapentin or Savella. And Medicare does not pay for this drug. My husband and I are going to submit paperwork to refuse their refusal. But I doubt it will work so we’re just going through the steps in case. We’ll probably have to just wait until a couple years and the drug cost goes down. Unfortunately us on Medicare can’t use the manufacturers website coupons. It’s a stipulation that if you’re on government program, you can’t use manufacturers coupons. Great information let’s keep it all flowing between us all. That’s really how we learned.

You summed that up perfectly! I take 5mg. of cyclobenzaprine at night when needed. Like you it helps me sleep when the pain is bad. My insurance wouldn't even cover Tonmya . I don't blame them. They do however cover cyclobenzaprine, which as you said is a lot cheaper. When I first saw Tonmya I thought it was something new that could help me but realized it wasn't. Another money making move.
@daisy17 Thank you for the info. I have been on that med a number of years ago. It just wasn’t enough for me.

1 ReactionI started tonmya several weeks ago. Even though I couldnt really feel its affects at first..once is started taking 2 tabs at night I started sleeping better without pain awakenings all night long. I do not feel dizzy, drowsy day of or next day sleepiness. Im pleasantly pleased with how I have been affected so far. I cant wait to see if this gets better the longer I am on this drug. The taste is not pleasant , the numbing affect wears off fairly quickly. Please try this med. Its had an impact on my night pain and sleeping through the night. Which is like a taste of heaven for me. ALSO I HAVE A ZERO COPSY USING THE TONIX COUPON NOT BLINK RX. I have my husbands insurance for my meds. Give it time at first I didn't think it was working at all.

I didn't feel much until I took 2 at night. Then it made a huge difference! I have ME/CFS FM and an autoimmune liver disease. My body has pain ALL day. But even though it is subtle I feel a huge improvement in my pain and sleep.
Hi all😸,
There is a difference between Tonmya and the generic cyclobenzaprine. The new drug is taking under the tongue and because of this it goes directly to the brain to work. Cyclobenzaprine on the other hand goes through the gut before it can be in your brain. So the Tamaya is much more effective due to this process.

Glad that Tonmya is working for you. Had you been taking regular cyclobenzaprine prior to starting Tonmya?
