Fear of Falling for My Husband
My husband still walks, mostly shuffling or baby steps.
We go to the gym every other day to do the PT’s recommended 8 machines.
My concern is he’s so scared of falling between the car and the gym—or the car and until I get him a shopping cart when we go shopping. I bought a 4-prong cane, but he says it’s harder.
When is it time for a Rollator??!
Any advice?

Why wait? My husband loves his. Better now than after he falls. You know he is going to need it.

1 ReactionYesterday a quiet knock on the door brought a medical equipment company’s nice young man, AND a brand new Neuro Walker made by U-Step! It felt like Christmas morning:) He loves it. It removes the fear in each step. It has what PD has interfered with in his brain back into something he can see: a little laser line as a target for where his feet should aim to step. He’s far from that target right now (taking baby steps), but he understands the goal. I am so so thankful for my PCP’s diligence in finding the ONE medical equipment company in Duval Co, Florida that carries them…Quipp’s 904-379-0408.
