Sutures didn't dissolve after tkr revision
Had 2nd knee surgery to remove lots of scar tissue. After 6 months the sutures aren't dissolving. The are visible under the skin as big bumps in a row. Very painful as it feels like they are coming through the skin.

My sutures were not deep so easy to remove but it still required opening the wound again. Glad I did it.
@alwaysgg I had right knee replaced in 2020. I have those “bumps” around my kneecap and below it (on the inside part of my knee). At the time, I asked the surgeon on a follow up visit what they were. He replied “Those are just my stitches” and let it go. They aren’t painful but I’m aware that they are there and I can feel them. Getting the left knee replaced (swore that I would never do this again!) with a different surgeon in October. Maybe I will ask him down the road what to do about them.
I had to wait 1 year before I could have them taken out.
@aliciavillarosa sorry I meant "sutures" not seizures 😉
