Husband is on this trial now. Anyone else? Would like to compare side effects.

What kind of trial is this never heard of it

It's for pancreatic cancer. It is in phase 1. also targets KRAS mutations. Sounds very promising. My husband is tolerating it well. Has his first CT next Tuesday. Fingers crossed!

@valerina30 ALTA-3263 is an early Phase 1/1b clinical trial testing a new oral targeted therapy for people with advanced cancers that have a KRAS mutation, including pancreatic cancer. The main goal at this stage is to determine the safest dose, understand side effects, and look for early signs that the drug works.

What makes ALTA-3263 interesting is that it is designed to block multiple KRAS mutations (including G12D, G12V, and G12C) rather than just one specific mutation. It is also a dual ON/OFF-state inhibitor, meaning it can bind to KRAS whether it is in its active or inactive form, potentially providing more complete and longer-lasting inhibition of the cancer-driving protein.

The study is evaluating ALTA-3263 both by itself and in combination with other cancer treatments, including chemotherapy and other targeted or immunotherapy drugs, to identify the most effective treatment strategies.

Because this is a Phase 1 trial, patients should understand that the primary objective is to establish safety and dosing—not to prove effectiveness. However, researchers will also monitor whether tumors shrink or remain stable, helping determine whether the drug should advance to larger Phase 2 and Phase 3 studies.
