Out of the box options
Hello, I am looking for the expertise and experience of this group. I am scared and looking for hope.
To start I am diligently following all recommendations - BP managed to 105/70, no strenuous activity, and many more.
I am looking at stem cells, peptides and any other less common options for treatment. There are some early animal studies and preclinical research, but with the potential change in peptides, I have been looking more closely. I realize that there are many patient phenotypes and I am focused on non syndromic, tricuspid valve.
I am looking to see if anyone else has gone down the root of trying to find alternative treatments and willing to share.
Best,

Hello fastinghrt. Your question is very interesting. I have a structural defect (a PFO) that was just repaired, in addition to a stable 4.4 aneurysm. I have been using a daily collagen peptide 1 and 3 supplement for about 2.5 years, in order to support vascular wall health. Your question is making me rethink this strategy, as I have revisited the topic and there is now more info available. Am I helping or hurting???? The non syndromic tricuspid valve is also a structural defect, with no genetic link. However it appears to have a strong association with occurrence of aneurysm. The collagen supplement appeared to provide vascular support at the time I researched it, and it seemed harmless. But maybe its actually the opposite. So I will be reading people's posts on this topic. Thanks!!!
