Celiac Artery Aneurysm: Anyone else with same illness?
Hello! I was recently diagnosis with a celiac artery aneurysm in June 2016. I underwent a embolization w/ coils procedure since the aneurysm had grown while in the hospital. I was trying to reach out to someone who suffered the same illness but have not been lucky. I would like to locate someone with my same illness. I would appreciate any help. Thank you

Thank you anyway. I plan on finding out as much as I can as soon as I’m back in CT.
@mjpisa HI there - can I ask what what two NY hospitals are 1 and 2?
Hello
according to us news, cardiology, heart and vascular surgeryhttps://health.usnews.com/best-hospitals/rankings/cardiology-and-heart-surgery, would read the report as pt. experience at these places varies too.

5. ny presbyterian Columbia/Cornell
Yes, I just found out I have one that is 2,5 cm. Dr says not to worry, it’s small.

2 Reactions@mjpisa Thank you for this.
Not sure but one of the posts may be confusing celiac artery aneurysm for celiac disease and aneurysm which are different

1 ReactionI seem to fit this posting. I am male, 72 yoa. In my recent CT scan to monitor the growth of my ascending aortic aneurysm (see 1 below) , the radiologist also spotted a celiac artery issue (see 2 below). Ugh!
1. Stable fusiform aneurysmal dilatation of ascending aorta measuring 4.9 × 5 cm. No evidence of dissection.
2. Focal dissection in distal celiac artery without evidence of stenosis. Mild aneurysmal dilatation of distal third of celiac artery measuring 1.3 cm.
A subsequent follow up at my cardio thoracic surgeons office by his PA indicated I will stay in a “monitoring” status, since there is no growth of my TAA; and the PA didn’t seem to be concerned about the newly discovered small celiac aneurysm. I can continue going to the gym doing lite workouts and doing my aerobic walks throughout the neighborhood. Since my BP is good, no issue there either. No use worrying about it all. Just keep trucking, so to speak.
