Breztri Inhaler

Is anyone on breztri, I’m on
It about a year, I have noticed I feel like it doesn’t last 12 hours, I take once in morning and once at night and I can tell it’s almost time to take again, now I have noticed last month inhaler and this months inhaler when I take it sometimes i don’t feel like I’m actually getting a full dose and I won’t take it again until the night dose and I notice those days I’m not breathing well, does anyone else have any issues, yes I make sure I rinse the canister like the suggested and it’s not difficult to push down on it to take medication, just wondering has anyone had any issues with this inhaler

You absolutely have to rinse the inhaler DAILY, not weekly....just do you get the full dose of the Breztri...I use a spacer too......even still, it feels like the medicine only works for a few hours. Im wondering if I should try another med....have you?

@robinmelissa
I noticed when I rinsed my Breztri with hot water, it really came out forcefully. I am seriously considering doing that every time to insure a full dose.

I have called AstraZeneca 5 times, have 5 different case numbers with them, they have ordered 5 replacements for me, but don't work any better. I have seen no evidence that anything is done to improve the units. So, I went back to Trelegy which I was using before. With doctor's help of course. Unless I hear of a "fix" for these inhalers, I will stick with the Trelegy.

@opirg I think they are just blowing everyone off, I’ve been hoping they would do something because it is good when you get the full dose, hey if trilogy works stay with it, I was on it but didn’t feel improvement that’s why I’m on breztri, good luck hope you will do wll

@robinmelissa that’s crazy rinsing the inhaler to get full dosage it shouldn’t get clogged up that fast. The problem been the inhaler itself, when pushing down there are times you don’t get full dose, I can hear the force when it’s not strong so to me using a spacer there’s nothing showing the dosage and it doesn’t make more medication to go in there if it’s not coming out of the inhaler, I believe because we don’t always get the full dosage that’s why it doesn’t last 12 hours. I love breztri when I get the full dose but sometimes it’s a hit or miss what comes out, if we are paying for a inhaler it should work we shouldn’t have to buy another product to get the right amount into our longs , I’m hoping they change it. Stay well

The nozzel itself gets clogged so take the canister out place the plastic part in a nice warm Results:
Yes, it is very important to wash the plastic part (actuator) of the Breztri Aerosphere inhaler weekly to prevent medicine buildup, which can block the spray and reduce the amount of medication you receive.
Be sure and not get the set aside canister wet at all.
How to Properly Clean the Breztri Inhaler:
Remove the Canister: Take the metal canister out of the plastic actuator and set it aside. Do not let the canister get wet.
Rinse the Actuator: Remove the mouthpiece cover. Run warm water through the top of the mouthpiece for 30 seconds, then through the top of the actuator for another 30 seconds (60 seconds total).
Check for Buildup: Inspect the actuator and mouthpiece for any remaining medicine buildup. If there is, repeat the rinsing steps.
Dry Completely: Shake off as much water as possible. Allow the actuator to air-dry completely, preferably overnight, before putting the canister back in.
Re-prime the Inhaler: After washing, you must re-prime the inhaler by releasing 2 test-puffs into the air, shaking before each spray.

@caseymydog1226 I know all that it’s on the instruction and they say once a week which I do, they also say always read the instruction paper it comes with because some times there’s a change.

I have the same issue. A complete waste of time calling Astra-Zeneca with the issue. The want you to mail in the inhaler that you are using......not listening.......it's each and every inhaler that fails to give full doses. Perhaps FDA would be more helpful

@kndaustin71 wow now they want the inhaler mailed back to them, will they send you new one first so you have to take plus are they paying for shipping, that’s all new, all I heard was they been sending people new ones, they don’t care because they have so many people buying them. When I called all they did was take my name I knew I wasn’t getting anywhere

I've had several clog even after weekly cleaning. They won't mail another, had to get a case number and phone number for my pharmacist to call for reimbursement for dispensing a replacement. Still having the same problem. I've been on Breztri since it came out and it seems like the clogging issue is only in the last six months or so here.

@bebsr do you rinse the canister holder?
I do once a week at least and that quit the clogging issue. Just a thought. All the best to you

Well, I have done it all. They asked for photos of units, so I did that, they sent prepaid mailers for FEDEX, so I did that, 5 times. My supplier, CVS Caremark, sent replacement inhalers but after about 2 uses, same old problem.
Called my doctor explained the issue, and back on Trelegy. Not perfect, but it works. So, if Breztri ever gets fixed, I may try again.
