I had it myself, and I was given a 20 mg statin and I couldn't move and I only took it for four days and I stopped and now I've been doing everything with my diet and I've lowered my cholesterol and lowered my numbers but it's only been three months and we're waiting another three months to see if I can go lower but good luck

I had severe leg pain after starting the statins. Talk to my doctor and he wanted me to do CoQ10 and he told me that I would have to adjust the dosage until I found the level that works best for me. Started out with 100 and then I am up to 200 twice a day and I no longer have pain.

@helmit , what did you do differently with your diet to lower your cholesterol?

I had it too. Stopped statins immediately. I changed my diet and lowered my cholesterol by eating lots more fish and less fats. polyunstaturated oils/olive oil and eat unrefined carbs.

Thank you. 200mg wasn't doing much. Hopefully 400 will
